Detailed Reviews
Upon reviewing other peoples reviews looking for accommodation in Seymour I wanted something comfortable and not super expensive and not something cheap either. I decided upon New Crossing Place Motel, not knowing Seymour at all I wasn't sure about locations to shops, cafes etc.
I didn't want something to far away from Puckapunyal Military Base either, after all we were going to be there for nearly a week.
When we arrived and opened the door to the room I was pleasantly surprised to how lovely the room looked. The bed was really comfy, air conditioner worked well. We chose to have breakfast delivered to our room each morning. Extra cost for this but was defiantly well worth it.
A nice pot of tea with tea leaf's and not a tea bag was something I looked forward to each morning. The big breakfast my 17yo had each morning and he said it was delicious sausages, eggs, bacon etc. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The linen towels etc were great fluffy, newly purchased.
They are doing Maintenace on a building opposite the rooms, but they did inform me of this prior to staying, and also apologised upon our arrival for the inconvenience of any distributions but it wasn't an issue at all. They started working just after 8am and were usually finished by early afternoon.
I would recommend this accommodation for anyone, any kind of travellers, solo family, couples. Didnt go in the pool but it did look lovely and inviting.

Wonderful gem of a place. We were looking for a stopover place for a night before continuing our roadtrip and this place did not disappoint. The owners Julie and Darcy were darlings - Julie even warmed up our rooms but putting the heater on before our arrival (we arrived late in the evening and this is a welcome gesture) . It's a five star service by the team. We really felt welcome and could feel that a lot of love and thought that was given into the place Looking forward to returning and spending more time here. Keep up the good work!

Our family stayed here for 3 nights. It was an unexpected visit to Seymour due to the recent Vic lockdowns. They got us in at the last minute just before the office was closing. We arrived cold and tired and was so happy to have a nice cozy and warm place to stay the night. They had gone in and turned the heater on for us which was so nice of them and greatly appreciated.
We had a two bedroom apartment. It was spotless! Beds were so comfy and warm. Clean and modern bathroom with great water pressure to the shower. Internet was fast and easy to use. The kitchen had everything you needed and used the on-site laundry which was handy. The staff were super friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here.

It’s not a very big hotel/motel but very clean and staff very friendly. Very close to all shopping etc. Businesses are all close by so if you’re looking to get your car fixed/serviced you don’t have to go far. Lots of nice places, gardens etc to walk through. Information Centre is just a few blocks away. Roads are quite good so driving around to historic places and interesting/nice places to see is quite easy. Close to the freeway so in and out of Seymour is quite good.

We were placed in the ‘new wing’ and were very pleasantly surprised after a long day’s drive.
The welcome was genuine, the room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. There was more than enough parking space - and, to top it all, it is located next to the Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Walk.
It was also across the road from the Prince of Wales Hotel where a good meal could be found.
A little gem!

My room was large, renovated and clean with a spacious up to date bathroom, a separate lounge with well supplied kitchenette, a dining table and desk, and a comfortable queen bedroom. Staff were helpful too. Thanks very much for a great stay.

The motel is well situated just north of the town, a short walk. It is close to the Royal Hotel and a Chinese Restaurant for dinner options. The RSL club also a short walk but not open for dinner on Mondays.
We had a comfortable room with QS bed, table and chairs but no lounge. Good TV and reasonable free wifi. Good sized bathroom. Tea/coffee/toaster and MW.
Probably the best motel in town.

Service was quick and friendly. Room down back was quiet and spacious. bed was comfortable and bathroom very roomy. Hot water and split system great. Only issue we had was lack of Wi-Fi connectability but that was a minor issue compared with great stay. Local pub 5 minute walk away had great meals. Would stay again definitely. Thank you.

My husband had not been back to Seymour for 60 years when he was in the army. Booked New Crossing Place as it was close to the Prince of Wales Hotel, where he used to go regularly. Loved the room, very comfortable king size bed, heat lamps and big shower head. Would recommend this place. It was very clean and well presented.

The rooms are very clean and tidy. The mattress is the MOST COMFORTABLY I have ever slept on. The pool and BBQ area are amazing with a lemon tree to pick from. The staff are genuinely friendly people. Well done to the owners in a terrific business.
