Amazing food . This pub gets it exactly right. The owner is the chef and he grows his own veg and produces his own eggs. The food is fabulous particularly the belly pork and sticky toffee pudding. It's beautifully decorated inside and you always get a warm welcome. I like the round seat in the window. Well worth a visit...

We booked to stay for a sat night , was taken to out room which was immaculately clean and tidy, very comfortable and spacious with an amazing en suite bathroom with a spa bath . We had dinner in the restaurant on that sat night which was faultless and had a great night sleep and sat in the garden in...

We were very much looking forward to our stay. We arrived early evening and shown to our room. We had a lovely view over the fields and the room itself seemed very nice. We had drinks in the bar, well it was all a restaurant really, only 2 stools at the bar, couldn't really comfortably have drinks while all around...

We really wanted to love this pub with rooms and indeed the food was fantastic. But we expected more from the room for £185 per night - which is the price we pay at Hotel du Vin, which is way more luxurious. The room (Gainsborough) was spacious but the en suite almost needed a refit and had cheap lino on...

My fiance and I were given this weekend as a birthday present from family and we had an amazing time. On arrival, we were greeted with our afternoon tea and prosecco. Our room was comfortable, spotlessly clean and fully equipped with a hairdryer, kettle, bottles of water in the fridge, milk, tea/coffee etc. The outlook from our room onto the...

Welcoming owners and staff. Absolute peace. Splendid room with all facilities. Excellent food. Cafetiere and ground coffee in our room, unique in our experience. Excellent dinners and breakfast featuring smoked salmon and scrambled eggs as well as all the usual suspects. Best room insulation ever, although peace and quiet prevailed anyway Not a criticism, but hay fever sufferers should be...

'We recently stayed at The Pheasant, very friendly welcome from Diana, we had a complimentary glass of prosecco, then we were shown to our room, Captain Oates, amazing room, very spacious & spotlessly clean. Our evening dinner was just amazing, the whole menu was perfect for us & after much consideration, the starters we chose Liver Pate & homemade soup...

This is the second time I've stayed at The Pheasant and it was just as wonderful as my first. James and Diana and staff were welcoming, attentive and professional. The food was amazing. The only drawback was 4 other guests who were loud, drunk and obnoxious. Diana dealt with them politely and professionally. Keep up the good work guys!
