I stayed a week at The Waves Apartments. The location is fantastic, just across the beach, and the main street is within easy walking distance, so there are lots of eateries close by. The apartment itself is very comfortable and clean. There is a kitchen with stove and

Apartment is ideally located, walking distance from shops, cafe, bars etc. Room is spacious and clean. Kitchen has all necessary gadgets for preparing meals. However, the bunk beds were old and made a lot of squicky sounds.

Hi, there is no pool or room service or restaurant. However it is only a 5 minute walk to the endless street of Restaurants. Hope that helps and sorry for the late reply..

Hi. I'm just a reviewer not the owner of the property. The room we were in had a king size bed near the balcony and two single bunk beds at the back in the kitchen/dining. space. Not sure the bunks would be that great for adult men! and besides, no third single bed. Seems to me the best option would be 2 adjacent or adjoining rooms. One with the king left intact for you as a couple and the other with the king divided into 2 king singles (plus the bottom bunk in the kitchen/dining) for your 3 sons. But there may well be other options that the owners can help you with. Good luck and have a nice stay.

Hi Ruby, So sorry to reply to you question so late. Have a member ill in my family. In Answer to Phillip Island if you are staying at Waves, ask for a 3rd floor ocean view room. This will give you two rooms. Caroline the manager and all the staff at Waves on the reception are very helpful. The two rooms has two TVA and single beds and the the kitchen with fridge etc. And the room that over looks the balcony with table and four chairs - has a queen size bed. There is a fab corner spa in the bathroom. You will find the rates very reasonable at Waves. There is another hotel just down from Waves called The Continental, it's okay too, just not as clean and as nice as Waves. At Waves On the 2nd floor you can hear the gentle lapping of the ocean. The Island also has a noise curfew so if you have children that will help. Opposite Waves is a beautiful beach and walking track and it's all close in walking distance to the shops, restaurants, cafés and ice cream pallor. Two nights is not really enough on the island if it's your first visit, 3 is better but having said that Melbourne is a fantastic city and very cosmopolitan. On PI you want to see the penguin parade and the little fairy penguins, visit the Nobbies, see the chocolate factory and go down to Ryhill and Cowes is fun too and eat at Harry's Restaurant in Cowes and it's in the main hub on PI. And as for Melbourne - It is fun too with it's cafés, and fine dining, shops and fashion and quaint landmarks and trams. I would visit Melbourne first as then you can relax down on PI, but it does not really matter which way you organise it as from the airport you virtually go through the city and out the other side - south east. The airport is north to north west of the city. Travelling to PI from the city is about 1.5 hours traffics depending, it's not far and the airport is generally a quick run into the city abt 20 minutes. Enjoy your trip to Phillip Island and Melbourne :)
