Thanks indeed Keith for taking the time with TripAdvisor to submit a review. We certainly appreciate you efforts to do so. Looking after guests has been a passion since we opened our doors to welcome guests in 2003, so thanks for your kind words! Its seems reviewers here on TripAdvisor have somewhat similar feelings looking back through our reviews from...

What an amazing place this is. Ian and Maddie are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are beautiful and so comfortable, everything you need is there. The breakfast cooked by Ian is simply to die for, no better way to start the day. We were only booked in for the one night before moving on to...

Excellent!, I rarely use superlatives but in case they are well deserved. Accommodation, food and service all fantastic. Our only regret is not staying longer! There's plenty to do on Philip Island, from beaches to nature trails.

Thanks for the 'superlatives' - we certainly appreciate them and your review. (as a senior TripAdvisor Contributor).. Reviews from our international guests mean a lot to us and we value them greatly - as a kind of 'ruler' as to how we measure up against their travel experiences here in Australia and overseas. The most consistent 'complaint' we seem to...

We have returned for yet another wonderful stay with Ian and Maddie Baker. The rooms are impeccable and Ian's gourmet breakfasts are sensational. We wouldn't consider staying any where else. Ian and Maddie are wonderful hosts, Glen Isla House is an absolute credit to them. We look forward to returning next year. Lyndon and Jill, Granton, Tasmania

Fabulous place with just a few rooms in it's own mini park. Grounds of mature trees and colourful gardens. Our room was full of character with solid good quality furniture and fittings, very clean. A personal welcome from Ian Baker was so friendly and informative and provides a local insight into the area. Breakfast included delicious fresh fruit and the...

Thanks for taking the time to make a review Robert... The very secluded and private heritage gardens (around 8000 square metres or 2 acres on the old language) at Glen Isla certainly offer a tranquil escape from the rigours of travel! All our rooms were designed and furnished by a specialist interior designer, and his brief was all about functional...

What a wonderful step back in time. Run by a charming couple, Ian and Madeleine Baker made us feel like we were part of their extended family. Accommodation is excellent and the included breakfast from owner/chef Ian was a real highlight. Literally 150 meters from the beach and sp tranquil and peaceful.

Thanks for 'stepping back in time' with us here at Glen Isla to good old fashioned hospitality! We took a detour to Philip Island on our recent trip from London through Melbourne and Western Australia. We arrived in Cowes with modest expectations. From the moment we turned off a quiet residential street and through its unassuming entrance, however, we realised that Glenn Isla was no ordinary B&B. The buildings and grounds formed a tranquil, immaculately kept oasis...

Thanks indeed Duncan for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences at Glen Isla here on Tripadvisor. Driving along Church Street past the gates of Glen Isla, you might be forgiven for assuming there's not much behind the high fences, but the 100+ year-old oaks and Norfolk Pines do give the game away a little! The two acres...
