Detailed Reviews
We stayed the night of Ed Sheeran at Olympic park. We had 2 rooms - 1 with a king bed and the other with a king bed and sofa bed.
Parking was only $15 and while the rooms are a little dated they are spotless with extremely comfortable beds.
The hotel is walking distance to Macquarie park shopping centre and the price is reasonable for the quality.
A good place to stay after an event and a lot cheaper than staying at Olympic park.

Location very good as very close to Macquarie University health facilities which was the reason for our stay. Room was adequate with good facilities but was really let down by the aged, small inadequate bathroom, small shower and a cheap plastic toilet seat does not pass muster today for mid priced accomodation facility.
In general could do with a makeover.

This has recently changed from a Travelodge to a Mercure with some good improvements.
Breakfast ($$$) and a bar are open again. Rooms are the same good size with a sofa. Bathrooms are ok sized and clean.
Generally the hotel is fairly quiet but our room this time had a gap at the top of the windows that allowed in traffic noise.
Decent open air parking is available out the back for $15 per day.
Staff were helpful but I suspect still finding their way with the change in ownership.
All up, it’s a good reliable stay without breaking the bank.

What a wonderful find. The beds were really comfortable, the room quiet. Everywhere was very clean and the staff very helpful. The only downside is that they don’t have a restaurant for dinner but luckily we found Lachlan’s a mere 300 metres away that had a delicious menu for dinner.
A mere 20 minute taxi ride to the Accor Stadium made it the ideal location for us. The breakfast dining room was well presented with a very good range of cooked and buffet food.

The beds were dreadful, like trying to sleep on a concrete floor. Lucky for me the two seater lounge was a pleasant substitute moonlighting as a bed. The breakfast buffet wasn’t topped up in the two hours I spent passing time. I had two pieces of bread to choose between, limited cereal , tinned fruit and one little tub of yoghurt. I’m a Rydges black card preferred guest that frequently use motels, and this one under delivers. Next time I’ll be taking comfort over convenience…..

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback We are upset to hear that the breakfast and food service did not meet your expectations, we sincerely apologise for this, please know this is very out of ordinary and does not reflect the level of service that we strive to deliver to our guests. We will be taking this to our food and beverage manager and investigate it further to make sure it does not happen again. Again we apologise for this less than satisfactory experience and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Sincerely, Nina

Service was good, location great but the room and basic left a little to be desired. Our TV had many channels missing or not working properly, room keys constantly not working, there is an overpowering smell of some sort of air freshener or smell-masking agent about the whole hotel (still, probably better than whatever smell they are trying to mask). The room was decent enough though, nice dark room easy to sleep in, great comfortable sleep. Kitchenette is nothing but a microwave and kettle, no toaster. Buffet breakfast downstairs is a bit expensive but some pretty good food for sure. Good location, reasonable staff, fair value.

The hotel is very convenient for the hospital, I had a procedure the following morning, it's a very easy 3-4 minute walk. There's secure parking available for $16 per day. The rooms are a good size and perfect for a night or two. The cleanliness was OK, the bathrooms are probably due for a makeover but perfectly adequate and good value overall.

Stayed 2 nights for business but will likely be the last.
Firstly, fancy staying in a hotel when the temperature is reaching nearly 40 degrees outside and there is no air con in the lobby and restaurant area. Even the aircon in the rooms was noisy and barely efficient.
Came down for breakfast and lasted 2 minutes it was almost nauseous. Couldn’t stay and didn’t bother eating. They opened the outside area but that was full for a reason below.
What didn’t help was that the hotel was overrun with Chinese tourists. They have a different idea of etiquette when it comes to travelling, even had them yelling in the hallway after 1030pm and allowing their kids to randomly knock my door multiple times.
That went down well…
The rooms are ok, the tv is simply too low and needs to be on a higher cabinet. You can barely see it when in bed.
Also, the bathrooms are old and either a barely adequate shower head.
There are surely better options in the area, won’t stay here again.

The room is clean and bright but feels like a throwback to 1980s dormitory. The bathroom does not have a good shower, water pressure is very poor and the shower door doesn’t close well.
The furniture looks like dorm furnitures 20 years ago. The aircon control was not functional and was covered by a piece of carton taped with Band-Aid’s . You have no way of adjusting room temperature. This place is no where near the standard of an Accor hotel.
