booked a second floor room with a balcony . Nice clean room with an excellent view . A real time warp from an architectural point of view . Tastefully and sympathetically decorated with lots of original features . Service was excellent and had a very nice breakfast in the restaurant. Close to the main street for shopping and eating options

Had a wonderful 2 nights here. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Loved the atmosphere, and the decor. Even loved the squeaky old floors. Great value on a good deal.

The Carrington has been beautifully renovated by the current owners, its like stepping back in time to the 1920's or 30's - almost felt like I should be dressed accordingly. Heaps of atmosphere. All the public rooms are gorgeous, and all the staff are so helpful and friendly. We had a room without en suite - the room was lovely... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel in the heart of Katoomba. It is tastefully decorated in keeping with the time when it was built, with gorgeous woodwork throughout. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were perfect and very clean with comfortable beds. I think some rooms have onsuite. Ours did not, but the bathrooms... More

We stayed for two nights on a special Seniors package, available via the website. Every aspect was fabulous. The hotel is large and impressive, at the end of a winding drive in central Katoomba. Everything is "olde worlde" and very classy. The room ( ours was Colonial with gorgeous stained glass bay window, ensuite and king bed) looks old but... More

Loved the look of the hotel, both inside and outside. great location in Katoomba. It does bring you back to the glamorous past. However, the practicalities make for less comfort. On check-in the receptionist was so busy she could not concentrate on the task - perhaps more assistance at busy times. It was freezing in Katoomba that week so heating... More

Just spent the weekend at The Carrington for the wedding reception of my niece. Yes, the floors do creak, but that only adds to the charm of this beautiful old hotel. Time seems to slow down the moment one enters the foyer, and it is not a huge stretch to imagine elegant men and women wafting through the rooms in... More

We stayed here for one night on our visit to the Blue Mountains. It was pretty convenient for public transportation as it was just a few meters from the train station and the bus stop to Scenic World was right in front of it. Clean rooms, sufficient breakfast buffet, good stay for one night.

From the old creaky floors to the high ceilings this place Oozes class and sophistication. It was a real treat for us to stay here, the reception were extreamly helpful and showed us a number of rooms before we checked in, just to make sure we were happy, the receptionist also knew the history of the building so as she... We had a couple of days in Katoomba recently and booked into the Carrington as it was the meeting place for the start of a subsequent tour. I was so happy with the decor, friendly staff and effort put into making our stay more than pleasant. The bar was a great escape from the cold, fresh flowers were everywhere, our... More
