We loved our stay at the Carrington, although it was quite short. The history within the building is really amazing and has been restored beautifully. Our favourite part was drinking cocktails from all eras beside the fire while listening to Judy Garland. Although our bar tender never seemed to want to deliver us our cocktails, when the other bartender was...

I've heard so much about this place. Every time I've visited Katoomba I've told myself I'd go there and when I finally did... Well: - The reception staff were all cold (Save one very kind woman with red hair and a big smile, I recommend speaking directly with her, should you submit yourself to a stay) - The "Barmen" can...

This place has so many nooks and crannies for you to explore. You're drawn to the history and heritage. The rooms are lovely and the staff friendly and extremely helpful. We would've loved to have checked out the observation deck or some of the balconies, but all were closed when we visited. We'll definitely be going back :)

The Carrington is now our preferred place to stay for a quick getaway. For years we were loyal to the Hydro. But no more. The Carrington , unlike its racy but tacky renovated cousin at Medlow Bath, has retained its eclectic era charm. Who cares if we mix the soft curves and florals of late Victorian with Machine Age Modernism....

The hotel is old. The staff need training and at times are borderline rude. If you want to pay nearly $300 for no service go and stay there. Have a drink at the bar if you are willing to wait 20 minutes, if there is a bartender at all. It is a great old building which is only going to...

Lots of class in the renovations and careful upkeep of this old time star in the middle of Katoomba. The main dining room is amazing - you could be on an old Liner as well as a formal dining room of yesterday! Check out the Irish table, the Snooker room and all the rest. Food is good with a choice...

What a step back in history from the grand dinning room with its totally original antique clock, great atmosphere, food and service to the billiard room complete with full sized billiard table every wall contains some form of historic picture, the sitting room with log fire has to be one of the most comfortable places in Katoomba with a cocktail...

The Carrington hotel brings you back a hundred years or so with its old furniture and wood panels. The colors, flowers and decorations are unique. Our room was on the second floor and although the hotel has a lift, there were smaller stairs to handle that can be difficult for disabled and not so strong persons. The breakfast was great...

It's a beautiful old fashioned hotel and our room was very comfortable with a large walk in shower, mini-bar, and air conditioning. I enjoyed the supper and breakfast, and the staff were very polite and helpful

We stayed as a walking group before and after our 3 day trek. Everything about this hotel screams yesteryear. The furnishings, the creaky floor boards and winding staircases, the funky lift (amazingly difficult to open the old doors). However, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast yummy. I recommend a spa room especially after trekking for 3...
