Lilianfels at Blue Mountains is a special place that typifies luxury and elegance in an old fashion way. The sense of history in its decoration and beautiful preservation of the ground brought an intimate experience for its patrons. It's within walking distance to the Echo Point to view the Three Sisters and the walking trails of Katoomba National Park. We...

Our third stay at Lilianfels in 6 years. Darleys Restaurant is not the same and has gone completely downhill. Pork was dry and no crackling. Didn't even stay for dessert. Breakfast is charged at $35 per person which is expensive and doesn't even include a coffee (only a nespresso). Years ago, this was the kind of place that more couples...

The overall hotel is a stunning and richly decorated place that is warm and inviting. The service from all the hotel staff was also very friendly and professional . The only downside we found is that the deluxe king room we stayed in seemed a lot smaller than in the pictures, and for the price we paid ($530) it was...

The location and views cannot be faulted, well presented building however expected a little bit more. Overall I got the sense that there were too many guests for the hotel facilities. Restaurant fully booked, queues and wait times for breakfast both mornings, long delays for drinks - just didn't have the relaxed, luxurious ambience that could be expected at the...

Desperate for a mini break over Easter with number one son we stayed 4 nights. Tarrif is pretty high and was questioning my sanity. After a couple of days though realised I could easily get used to the rythm of Lilianfels life. What number one son loved: 1. Indoor heated pool 2. Computers in the foyer under the watchful eye...

I read a lot of reviews on here about Lillanfels before I decided to book. We travel the world, live in Sydney and were looking for a 2 night trip away and we LOVED IT! We did not once encounter the gripes other guests have expressed. The staff were super friendly and professional. Our room was perfectly attended to every...

Lovely staff, who were always available to help, if they wanted to.... We were slightly disappointed to find out that it was a pet friendly hotel. spending $240+ a night to have a room next to us full of barking dogs was not my idea of 'luxury escape'. Don't get me wrong, I'm a dog person but the smell in...

This grand old hotel is a block from the Three Sisters Overlook. It is serviced by the tourist bus. So, even though away from the center of the town, this is a good place to stay. Service and facilities are great.

We deliberated for a while before deciding to stay at Lilianfels - We had limited time in the Blue Mountains, but the price & some of the reviews were putting us off. Too many places in the UK limp along today, charging 5 star prices, but wearily delivering experiences that fall way short - trading on former glories & keeping...

I know this property from many visits and remember the glorious days when it was Orient Express. The present owner Escarpment group appears to be an all Australian company and to reconnect to the world market and its standards would be welcome. It seems that they experimented with Starwoods "luxury collection" at a time. Also hospitality is not only about...
