3 adults stayed in the family room 4 nights cost $230 per night. We were in Katoomba for the Ukulele Festival it was 38c all weekend. The best way to describe it is Fawlty Towers. No air conditioner in rooms ( very hot ) no overhead fans only one pedal stole fan clonk clonk. The bathroom door was sliding and would...

The Ukulele Festival is a huge event in Katoomba each year in Mid February and most accommodation near the town centre is taken many months before the event. I booked late and found Hotel Blue could provide a room for one for one night, so I booked. The room was old fashioned, small, no air conditioner, windows with no fly...

We stayed on the hottest weekend so far in NSW, Australia, and it is like an oven in our room. The front desk didn't inform or warn us that there is no AC in the room when we booked especially since we booked a family room and we had our children with us. It should be a courtesy information to...

This hotel charged us £75 a night per room for a three night stay and included breakfast albeit a very disappointing one. It could have been so much better. During our stay the public rooms were being redecorated and really the hotel should have been closed as on bitterly cold evening the place was cold, bleak and smelling of paint....

Four friends went for Saturday dinner show in Parlour Bar. Music excellent. Dinner (set menu) basic but fish well-cooked, not very good value. Probably better to order from bar menu - pizza etc. Rooms are clean but dated, run-down. Mismatched, old furniture. A hole in wall by one bed. Bathroom very small, grout showing age and wood trim rotting. Empty...

Poorest hotel choice of our holiday (in 5 weeks), the only thing we liked was the location. Room was outdated. There was no airco, opening a window wasn't an option because all the flies and mosquitos would just fly in. Sheets weren't clean and at 6.30 am the sun started to shine in our face (the curtains didn't fully cover...

We stayed here for 3 nights to explore the blue mountains. Perfect location to use as a base and within walking distance to the town and echo point - which is good so you don't have to pay for parking there! The room was clean and room service kept us topped up everyday. The shower was great! The cooked breakfast...

We found this hotel convenient and the location was very close to the town centre and all the cafes. Really good value, very clean and quiet, the staff could not have been more helpful. The breakfast buffet was superb and plenty of it.

I stayed for three nights in a 'King' room. It was very comfortable, quite large, spotlessly clean with a refurbished bathroom. Perhaps the ageing fridge could be renewed and coat hangers used in the wardrobe instead of hooks, are my only complaints. Breakfast was generous with plenty of options. Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

I attended an Album Launch for my nephew a few weeks ago at Hotel Blue and the place was packed. We were able to order food and drinks at the bar and I had ordered a Chorizo pizza and after what seemed ages and wondering if perhaps we'd been forgotten, the chef herself had appeared with my pizza apologising for...
