The Crown Plaza is an older hotel that has been significantly renovated. The staff were excellent - from check in, the cleanliness of the room, to the food service and check out. The room we stayed in had modern features with comfortable beds.
I stayed for 3 nights with my wife and 3 children. The hotel is about a 25 minute drive from either downtown Sydney or the airport. Staff at check in were great and we were provided with interconnecting rooms as I requested. Certainly ask for...More

Stayed here for 8 nights over a 2 week period whilst visiting family nearby.
The location of the hotel overlooking Coogee beach is excellent, the breakfast very good (especially the eggs benedict which I ordered twice) and the staff are always happy to oblige.

As a wheelchair user I found the Crown Plaza to be very wheelchair friendly - easily in my top three. Staff were very accommodating, especially with the breakfast service and concierge.
Certainly will be staying there again on future trips to Sydney.
Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity
footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.

If you get a taxi make sure you ask the taxi to go to Coogee via Gardeners Road then Rainbow St. This is the shortest and quickest route possible. Some taxi's will take you round the houses not because they are taking liberties but simply because they do not know Sydney well enough.
