Overall this is an 'ok' hotel. The location is great, right at the beach and just a short drive (20 min) from downtown Sydney. The hotel and amenities are ok, but the hotel could really use some updating, especially the bathroom of our room was very old. The breakfast is very good though and there's a nice rooftop pool that...

Crowne Plaza, Coogee, is opposite a beautiful beach & close to restaurants. The views along the coast are sensational and you can do the coastal walk to Bondi! Rooms are very comfortable & alot of them come with a balcony. Asked for a late (1pm) checkout & got it with no fuss!

Stayed for visiting Univeristy of New South Wales - close enough for easy Uni access but giving beach views and close to all the restaurants of Coogee. Good staff and the buffet was one of the best I have seen for a while. Fresh squeezed juices and a great range of buffet food as well as being able to order...

Our first stop on a little tour of Australia was Coogee beach for 2 nights. We opted to stay here first before moving into the city to save on travelling to the beaches from the inner city. The hotel check in was quick with no waiting. The room was too small for a family of 4, there was no room...

My last review was a year ago for the same conference. Unfortunately it went downhill… we increased in size but there was still capacity for another business also having a meeting at the hotel. Possibly, they just couldn't handle the numbers??? I arrived at the hotel for a lunch time start of the conference. I wasn't expecting my room to...

This hotel is in a great location and the view from our room was great of Coogee beach. But our room did smell of damp quite a lot which wasn't very nice to walk in to. Overall, probably the best hotel in Coogee but that's not saying much.

Dear Katiedeloyde, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback! I am sorry that your room smelt damp and it was probably because of the wet weather conditions early last week. We usually do not release such rooms even if there is minimal amount of rain water that might affect the rooms (usually if the balcony...

We loved our ocean view room 309. We first checked in room 1109 but the ocean view room was within the balcony, major, no no. My friend answered don't complain, i sat on it for a second and rang, then recieved room 309. There were a few mild hassles, the room was good, the bathroom needs a major makeover. The...

The hotel has standard midrange amenities. The rooms are nice but the bathrooms are a tad small. The staff is very friendly and willing to help guide you in the right direction if you are new to the area. For breakfast, you'd be hard pressed to beat the view overlooking the water. Solid hotel for a good price.

Staying in Coogee

Neighbourhood Profile
Coogee
Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.
