Arrived Good Friday and found the family room Room 3 on the ground floor surprisingly large and comfortable. With 2 twin beds and a queen it was quite to our needs. Whilst the decor has some age it is well maintained and clean. The bathroom like wise is spacious, well maintained and clean. The room rates were very reasonable given...

Cumberland Motor Inn in Cessnock was a fairly dull hotel. Room 26 was quite dark. It did not feel clean and fresh. We found three dead cockroaches and I myself beat the fourth to death. Location was good. It was close to the town center with shops and restaurants.

Large ground floor double room that was very comfortable, given the outside day temperature was 40+ degrees. Air con and salt water pool were great. Excellent place for winery visit or to see a concert as the bus picks up from the motel. Staff excellent, very accomodating and room was quiet being away from stairs. Would stay there again and...

The Cumberland was a quick overnight stopover for us on our way to Tamworth. Rooms are large and spacious, clean and very comfortable. We had a family room which suited us, 2 adults and 2 children. There was a flip out sofa which could have accommodated another child. Wonderful, friendly check in staff. Great place to stay!

We were attending a weekend family event in the Pokolbin area but the prices at the resorts amongst the vineyards is quite exhorbitant by any standard. So we checked out accommodation in Cessnock which is 10-20 minutes from the vineyards and found the Cumberland Motor Inn to be just what we wanted. There was a bit of a mix up...

We had an overnight stay for a rugby league game at Cessnock, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Yes the bathroom although dated was also spacious and clean. Reception was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this motel for a lower budget accomodation!

One street back from the main street of Cessnock this place has plenty of parking, some undercover. Our room, on the 1st floor was quite large and clean and tidy, Good sized comfy queen bed with a/c and a fan, although the fan seemed to have 2 speeds - very slow and very fast - it did look a bit...

Big quiet rooms with pleasant accommodating staff. We'd recommend staying out of Cessnock nearer to the wine areas if you can find any comparable priced places as Cessnock doesn't have what we'd expected in the Hunter Valley for atmosphere. We agree with it's rating of 4.3 out of 5 again if you need to stay in Cessnock.

As indicated by others, this is an older style motel but we found the room to be quite large which was the main reason for our stay. It has a large queen size bed plus a lounge and the shower was also quite large. There are 3 pubs within walking distance, definitely recommend the Royal Oak Hotel, dinner there was...

“Rooms 9 &10 are very quiet and although a bit darker, were very useful as the sun didn't wake us up too early. Large bathroom too. Good to know where the breakfast spots are for a Sunday as only three outlets were available, and the one we went to closed at 10.30am.”
