Whilst the rooms are still very old and in need of upgrading the restaurant this time offered a buffet dinner which was a huge improvement from my previous visit when I waited 2 1/2 hours for a meal that was terrible. This time food was freshly prepared with good choices. A big improvement indeed.

Not bad if you're passing through and need a room for the night, but not sure if it would be a place I would stay for a few days. The rooms are basic and very old school, but overall it's not bad for what it is.

Room 34 was disgusting. The unit smelt damp, the shower dripped, the tapes could be heard all though the units . The shower base was the worse we had ever seen. The walls and the carpet was revolting, discolored and very dirty. Wouldn't use the laundry. As we had booked weeks before and traveled a long way we were very...

We stayed for one night whilst traveling between Hobart and Strahan. As we wanted to go on the train the following morning it made sense not to travel down to Strahan and back. I am not sure what other people are complaining about regarding cost and location. Even though it was wet and foggy the town still held its charm...

Good comfortable bed, nice clean rooms, great view, helpful friendly staff. The food at the restaurant is amazing, be careful, the portions are larger than we expected and desert defeated me, wow! Would recommend this one. And we stayed 2 nights.

We stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting Tasmania. The bed was very comfortable giving a great nights sleep. It was one of the bet beds we slept in while away. The owner was great with suggestions of what to do in the area. Rooms are reasonably priced and were clean. An added bonus was the beautiful Smelters...

This Motel offers a friendly family feel for a reasonable price. The beds are queen-size and offer a restful nights sleep. The rooms are clean and tidy with easy access from the car park. The view from the large panoramic windows looks straight out over the mountains. This provides a spectacular show particularly at sunset as the rocks change color....

We spent 2 nights at the Silver Hills Motel on a 10 day trip around Tasmania and it was the most comfortable bed we slept in for the whole holiday with high quality linen. We had stunning views of the "silver hills" surrounding Queenstown, the room was exceptionally clean & great value for money. The dining room also has wonderful...

I stayed here on a bushfire deployment for three nights so didn't pay. We stayed in the two-storey section which I think is older, but has high ceilings and massive floor to ceiling picture windows with stunning views of the mountains. The place reminded me of the big luxury hotels in alpine areas of NZ such as the Hermitage and...
