Extremely disappointed in the cleanliness and service with marina shores. I read some negative reviews online after I book so thought I would give them a phone call to discuss the condition of the room and was assured that the room would be in great condition and have nothing to worry about. When we arrived the room was filthy with dead bugs, dust, ants, soap grime all over the shower screen, food and dirt all over the floors, the cooking items and oven were disgusting and just a top sheet on the bed. The first night I woke to have ants through the food in the cupboard so had to throw the food out. The sun lounge was broken and requested to have that fixed, the room cleaned and be reimbursed for some of the money paid. Was told by management that I would be reimbursed some off my booking fee but never happened. People came to look at the room and were extremely rude about having to make an effort to clean the room. I wish I had canceled my booking and stayed elsewhere. I would not recommend Marina Shores at all. I would definitely look elsewhere. There was no effort and pride put into the presentation of the room and was very disappointed with little effort to rectify it. Would never stay there at Marina Shores again. The pictures are fantastic on the website but the condition of the rooms are nothing like it. I’ll say it again, Very disappointed 😞

We stayed in a 2 bedroom penthouse...it was a a filthy den. We couldn't sit on the penthouse deck as the AC was noisy..it was even hard to sleep with it going. But the worst thing is the apartment was filthy...we had a hair ball in the cupboard. .gross...the carpet was so black when I rubbed it with a the wipe was black!!...there was a hair in the spa but we never used it...mould on the ceiling..and the AC vent..we were breathing that..the sheets were tan not white...the white towels had brown stains...we were disgusted..it was our 27th wedding anniversary and we contacted Jeff and Emily...they were condescending and dismissive...I have emails where Emily said this bitch doesn't give up as she accidentally sent it to me instead of Jeff.. The level if service is disgusting...we asked for some sort of refund Jeff said I only deserved 33%...in my mind we deserved 100% as this obviously isn't the first time there's been complaints... Don't stay at this resort.. its a disgrace and they take your money but offer you no service especially for $300 a night.

I Booked a two bedroom penthouse as a surprise for my partner for valentines and as soon as you walk in the door there is a security camera which is very disconcerting making my partner uncomfortable even though it seemed to be disconnected and someone tried to rip it out of the ceiling. At no stage should a hotel room have a camera in it due to privacy. There was only one bed made up and no linen for us to make the other as well as no towels in the room. There was mold in the bedroom on the ceiling above the bed they made up. The couch cushion was stained and the tv recently watched was porn which disturbed my partner. Top balcony had two sun lounges but unfortunately couldn’t use them cause one was broken. The internet was disconnected for two days which was annoying as none of the features on the smart tv worked. Not a great valentines location to stay. Only things nice was the view.

Booked the two bedroom two level spa penthouse for 4 nights for our family. On arrival was told that there was a leak in the hot water system and a plumber was called and would be resolved the following day, there was no other rooms available so we had no choice, the bedroom carpet was about 1/4 wet, and the plumber never arrived. The doors were dirty where hands touched them, the cutlery was unclean and we were a little scared to use (washed before use) Coffee machine was broken, the WI-Fi was unusable, walls were patched and not painted, mould behind the bathroom door, general lack of maintenance. Curtains missing / torn. Carpet fraying and filthy and well stained. Furniture well beyond its used by date. Bedrooms dark and small (no outlook). Looked under the couch, what a mistake.... The "Spa" was so small you could not use it, maybe for a 5yo?? The second level is a good size balcony with a toilet, there is no shade so not usable during the day and the A/C unit is up there blowing hot air onto this area and was quite noisy. The AC in the master bedroom was not cooling the room, there was a pedestal fan available... The taxi driver would not go into the units because they are under instruction from the units not to, when I asked what if it was raining he said that even then you need to be dropped on the street, even if it was hailing. It pains me to do a poor review, we have traveled a lot and its not all 5 star, back packers, home stays and in many countries, this is the first time we felt so disappointed the value of a place we stayed. This is not a 5 star unit, expensive and not even remotely good value.

My partner & I stayed recently for 4 nights, we were a little worried it was to far away from the main street of Airlie but it was perfect. Straight across from the marina where all the cruses/jet skis/ocean rafting/water activities leave from, so that was GREAT as we had planned to do a lot of water activities & see the islands. Service was great, from the moment we arrived to check in "Rachelle" I think was the lady's name.. she was professional & welcoming. Then throughout our stay another gentleman "Jeff" helped us out with booking activities etc, as we found out that if you book though the hotel you can get discounted prices!! Winning!! they just made it feel so easy. The apartment we stayed in was great. It was modern, had everything we needed & the WATER VIEWS... just WOW!! From inside the apartment it felt like we were hanging over the edge of the water as it was that close. Beautiful spot, nice & quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel if you have a group of friends/large family as there is plenty of space to hangout without being in each others pockets all the time. If your a couple it is also great because I found it still gave myself & my partner a sense of luxury & space to spread out. As sometimes small hotel rooms just don't have that extra space to do that. Overall I was very impressed by the location, quality & service. We will be staying there again for sure.
