This property is so falsely advertised. There's nothing 'LUXURY' about it. Where do I start.... ok, no ice trays in the freezer Mouldy and smelly shower Mouldy bathroom floor Toilet looked like it's never been cleaned, black water ring around the bowl. Vanity glass bowl had toothpaste all over it and the mirror was filthy. The rooms aren't made up, came back to find that they'd only folded the towels. One of the bedside lights kept randomly turning on through the night, very annoying. The balcony only had one sun lounge and keep in mind this a a couples retreat. Dust on window coverings and on furniture.... all in all, its the worst place I think I've stayed in. I should have read the reviews but the website looked so good. SO SO BAD p.s wish I'd taken photos.
We choose this hotel as it was the only Childfree option. The pool is lovely but has no shade (and a strange closed off room downstairs which looks a forgotten area and not appealing. There are no cushions on the chairs or lounges so not very comfortable. The outdoor furniture on the balcony had no cushions and so wasn't comfortable. I would probably sway out for two really comfortable lounging chairs and a small table. The room definitely needs an upgrade (we were a bit forgiving of this given the current situation). The rooms are laid out strangely (sofa faces a wall instead of either the TV or the view. I am sure things could be moved around to make more sense. New kitchen with a drawer dishwasher would be great and the bathroom needs an update to include a vanity with space on the top and drawers. A huge plus is the location, which is a very short walk to all the shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay again but hopefully after they update the rooms and common areas.…
We looked for a luxury hotel to stay in and after reading the description of this place it seemed to fit what we were looking for. However I might have a different perspective on what “luxury” is but this certainly wasn’t it. Perhaps it was considered luxury in the early 90s. It was a air conditioned room that had a big bed which was what we wanted most so it’s hard to complain but we do feel the images and description are misleading. Few little gripes Empty shampoo bottle left in the shower when we arrived. No a deal breaker but raises questions about how diligent the cleaning process was The outdoor tub was a bit grimy and had hairs left in the base. Again not a major deal breaker just a little gross. The balcony had a lot of dead bugs and clearly jade to been swept in a while. The decor is a bit dated but otherwise fine. The reception is just an office type room on the ground floor. Less of a reception more a admin office. Certainly doesn’t scream “Luxury” as their website would describe. Honestly it was fine it’s was just a bit underwhelming as we were expecting something else. At worst misleading advertising. At best they just have different views on what luxury is. …
Moldy ceiling, air con didn't work, very dated needs a renovation if it is going to charge that amount, balcony was not cleaned, had to ask tea coffee and sugar. would not stay here ever again, bathroom was old, kitchen very old style, curtains were dirty and did not close properly.
My husband and i booked for our anniversary weekend and were very disappointed. The room itself is outdated and incredibly small. It smelt of cigarette smoke and was not clean. The was sticky residue all over the kitchen bench and dead insects on the floor. We were not happy and refused to stay. The manager of the resort next door who was looking after the place was very hospitable though and allowed us to cancel and have a room in the resort next door, so thank you very much. But do yourself a favour and book elsewhere
