Island View B & B in Airlie Beach is a hidden gem. The rooms, are spacious, clean and well appointed. The tropical continental breakfast is very tasty, as is the view from the balcony where it is served. Karen and Steve, the owners, are friendly and very helpful. This B & B represents wonderful value for money.

We arrived at the B&B and were told there had been some confusion with booking so we were being upgraded to the apartment across the street. We were excited because the apartment was nicely decorated and we were going to have the whole place to ourselves. And it was nice, until we went to sleep. The apartment does not appear...

There has never been a 'dog' or 'loud music' on, or at, any of our properties. We have a strict 'No Pets' policy and, to the best of our ability, ensure that our guests have a good night sleep. Thank you for staying with us anyway - sorry you are disappointed. We, at Island View Bed & Breakfast always make...

Everything was wonderful about the B and B. It was clean and a great location. However, the one thing that was disappointing was that we did not receive any champagne and chocolates on arrival (that was included in our package). All though this is not a huge deal - it would have been a nice perk esp. when we had...

Stayed in this nice 2-bedroom apartment B&B for 3 nights as our base to explore the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Karren is very accommodating and will assist you with any bookings. Though we found the Whitsunday Bookings Travel Agency in Airlie's Main Road more efficient in finding us the best deals. The apartments are located on a...

Airlie Beach is Mecca for backpackers. It is a great town but sometimes all a person needs is a little solitude which this B&B provides wonderfully. It is about a 7 min walk away from "the street" in Airlie, which is the perfect distance away from the action. The room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was great and perfectly...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in March 2008 on a trip up the east coast of Australia. Our plane was delayed getting in, so we didn't arrive in Airlie Beach until very late. This was not a problem though and we found a chilled bottle of wine in the fridge and a note explaining everything we...

My wife and I stayed at Island View B&B in April 2009 as part of a long holiday touring the east coast of Australia. This was our last port of call and offered everything that we could possibly ask for. We booked the 5 night Whitsunday package which offers five nights accommodation in a King suite, champagne and chocolates on...

We stayed at the Island view in September of 08 and had a wonderful two nights. We did a boat trip so stayed here on either side of that trip, and Karen was very helpful and accommodating. She stored our luggage for us, which was great. The room was very nice and the pool was very relaxing. Karen had breakfast...

My husband and I stayed at Island View for 5 nights in October 2008. I have to say that this is one of, if not the best B&B that we have stayed at. Yes the property is up a steep hill but the walk from the main strip only takes a leisurley 15 minutes and it is well worth it...

A very small 3-rooms B&B, clean, comfortable and ran by it's owners. It's located just a few blocks off the main street at Airlie Beach, far enough from the noise and backpacking crowds. The only 'but' is that it's located up hill, and the walk from the city centre seemed a bit of a problem at least for one of...

“Not many to choose from but I'm sure they are all good and all much the same as each other. Some are a bit bigger than others that's all but I think there are only four rooms anyway.”

“All rooms (3 only) face the ocean and overlook the pool which is available for customer use. Breakfast is served on an open verandah overlooking the pool with views to the ocean. I paid around Aus$100 per night, thinking it was a little expensive for a B&B, once inside the cleanliness, standard of furnishings comfort of the rooms dispelled any doubt it was first class as was the service and friendliness of the owners”
