We stayed 6 nights and didn't sleep a wink due to the sound of scraping furniture above our heads from early morning to late at night. On the last night there was a loud party upstairs that went all night and someone even urinated off their balcony onto ours. In addition, the facilities were non-existent despite being advertised on their website and throughout the hotel - gym was still closed, no spas, no BBQ facilities, no PayTV and wi-fi speed was so slow it was unusable. Our only entertainment for the week were some DVD's from the 90's borrowed from reception. Reception staff were apathetic and didn't even speak to us on check out. Would not recommend.

We stayed for 14 nights at Waters Edge in a 2 bedroom apartment. The views were amazing! Was lovely to wake up to such a lovely view over Airlie Beach each morning. The apartment had only very basic utensils but enough to get by. The apartment had three air conditioners. The staff were friendly and helpful but limited. The hotel cafe was shut and no option for onsite breakfast due to covid. Also gym was shut. The pools were great although not big, the spa wasn't working which was disappointing. The lift wasn't working on arrival but was rectified within the first few days of our stay thank goodness. The BBQ area was great. The location of the resort was the best! We did not require a car for our whole stay, easy walking distance to town and supermarket across the road. I would stay at this resort again but maybe at a discounted price due to some facilities not being in operation. We had a great stay and the location and view were the best parts of the resort.

Arrived today after a short delay at the airport only to find the apartment lifts have not been working for two days and will not be working for another two.. we had book the top (5th floor) then requested to be move to a lower floor due to my wife’s knee replacement.. we got the 4 floor.. anybody arriving in the next 3 days I would suggest cancelling if you can as the walk from town is enough with out having to climb the fire escape when you get here.. water in the fridge would have been nice also..

We stayed in room 49 for 5 nights. Perfect 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. Full size kitchen and a laundry. Huge balcony with AMAZING views! We were also lucky enough to have our own rooftop balcony. Great pool area and huge BBQ area. Located in a perfect position. Walking distance to Woolworths, BWS, shops, restaurants, bars and the lagoon. We would DEFINATELY stay here again! Loved it! Didn't want to leave!

As soon as we got into our room no.19, the overwhelming smell of dampness was really bad had to keep balcony door open all the time to air the room. There was no free breakfast as advertised, no foxtel also as advertised, no use of the gym, couldn't use the spa. This was all down to covid-19 so I gather but there was no compensation for the free breakfast that we didn't get. I wanted to give the floor of the room a bit of a sweep but the broom was so filthy that it made the floor even dirtier. The location is second to none and the views are outstanding and the pools were excellent but the resort is very tired and needs a thorough clean, I wouldn't go back and stay there again there's many better places in airlie beach.
