We stayed 4 nights in what was reportedly a refurbished room, well yes it was painted but that is it. The holes in the bedroom curtains, mould in kitchen louvers, the bedding was requested to be KKQ but only K Q and 2 singles, no art work or bedheads, the bottom of the lounges were all ripped apart, the dishwasher not fitted so it falls out from the cavity, 2nd bedroom has a glass frosted door to the bathroom and the light from the outside shines through all night. The room is also not serviced each day only after 8 days. For $560 per night i was expecting Myers or David Jones but instead it was $2 shop. And breakfast at $25 for a big breakfast only 1 bacon and 1 chipolata very sad and the mushroom cooked in vinegar was so bad. We spoke with reception on many occasion during our stay and were told that management would contact us but that did not happen, i had to call their head office to get to speak with a manager Kate who did say sorry and promised to email me but that also did not happen a week later. sad to say but you can get much better service and price closer to the water and town.

We paid good money to stay here with our family little did we know when we arrived we where made aware there was room upgrades going on (was not told this prior to checking in or when we booked) Every day from 8:30am- 5pm there was jackhammering and power tools right under our room it made the whole apartment shake, it was so loud you couldn’t even take phone calls in the apartment or hear the tv! Also our baby couldn’t sleep- we made a complaint to reception they just said “nothing they can do about it sorry” was there response- poor customer service Since there was no travel in 2020 you think they would of upgraded there rooms than rather then Easter weekend 2021 (busiest time) or at least some sort of compensation for the guests or let them know prior to booking Unhappy won’t be staying here again and won’t be recommending this place to ANYONE!

We booked into Club Wyndham Airlie Beach for a birthday weekend for one of our friends. Accommodation booked and flights booked, it was meant to be the great escape. Little did we know this was the beginning to a disaster of cascading events. Though, we booked through Hotels.com, confirmed and booked, we got a call from the hotel saying they were FULL. We were told to call another hotel. We spoke to hotels.com who called the hotel they would need to relocate us. We received another call from Club Wyndham saying we should try Club Croc and it was not their fault and pushed the blame onto Hotels.com - Clearly a miscommunication between their own staff to not advise hotels.com they had no rooms left. Again tried to push the blame onto others and didn't accept responsibility. It was only for hotels.com that told us the hotel are looking for alternate accommodation and would be in touch. We never heard anything for a week and only until the day prior we were told the hotel will accommodate us and had given us an upgrade. We discovered we were DOWNGRADED from a 3 Bedroom to a 2 bedroom. We arrived and the hotel provided compensation of a reduced rate of $41.... Was really a joke. The hotel didn't provide any empathy or seem to care. Stephanie and Kate were quick to blame others. No duty manager meeting us or apology. We got given a free drink at the bar as the room wasn't ready at 4pm. We got to the room and no letter from the General Manager or even an apology gift. This would be the least they could have done. The room was dirty and not cleaned properly. The curtains in one o f the room didn't even match the windows, when highlighting another issue with this hotel, they placed a makeshift curtain on a hanger. Seriously?! Very disappointing as to this day we haven't heard from the General Manager. How very touch the management are from their guests. Its an exact example of that they just don't care. Would seriously suggest to people rethink booking this hotel. We won't be back. If it wasn't for the Mantra Boathouse being full we would have never had such a shonky disjointed experience. Seriously, wake up!
