Trying to find a self organised wine tour without a car from Talca is pretty hard. We eventually managed to get to 'Viña Gilmore', aka Huéspedes Tabonko, on the second attempt. The first attempt was a failure, since after visiting Balduzzi wines in San Javier -- an easy bus ride from Talca -- we were told to simply get the...

We spent two nights here and found it absolutely wonderful. The entire property is lovingly cared for and you will feel cared for as well. Daniella was wonderful to talk with and gave us lots of great information on the area, showed us all around the winery and then sat down to taste wines with us. We felt so much...

We have recently spent two nights at Tabonko and cannot write too highly of it. From the moment we arrived in this beautiful, dry part of the Maule valley region we knew that it was going to be an exceptional experience. Daniella's warm welcome gave us a taste of how she would look after us for the next couple of...

We hesitate a lot in our choice of hotel in wine valleys in Chile. We find a small and perfect one: Tabonko. It's maybe far of a lot of things but in an area of peace. The hotel is wine oriented of course but what to exspect: you are staying in the rarea for this reason. the service is perfect...

We stayed for one night - wished it could have been longer. The hosts are truly delightful and the staff cannot do enough for guests. The area is of oustanding natural beauty and great effort has gone into developing super accomodation. Great wine tasting is supplied. Swimming pool and other activities also provided. Superb breakfast also. All in all, highly...
