We had the pleasure of a 2 night stay just before Christmas. My husband and I were travelling with our daughter and were blown away by The Arrow. Tim, the perfect host, had thought of everything . The upstairs/ downstairs rooms worked perfectly as each had their own entrance , with the option of using the internal stairs or locking...

I recently spent several nights at this little gem and it is probably the best boutique hotel I've stayed in anywhere in the world. The location is lovely, the rooms beautifully designed with huge windows making the most of the surroundings and the host Tim is the icing on the cake..ever helpful, never intrusive and delivers the yummiest breakfast to...

It was a genuine pleasure to have you come and stay. There are some great things to explore in our historic little town and we are pleased you enjoyed it. The museum is a great place to start finding out about Arrowtown and the surround. There is a lot of information on our 'golden' past and the geology of the...

The pictures do not do this quaint private hotel justice. While we knew we were in for a 5 star experience, it wasn't until we entered the room that we could appreciate the elevated style and we were so taken with all the amenities. From our tour of the room starting with the exterior textures that are the foundation of...

We stayed here for two nights as part of a business trip around the South Island. What a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are beautifully appointed, just as you would expect with a property of this caliber, the secret cupboard is a gem - but what made it simply wonderful is Tim. What an incredible host. Its not everyday...

It was a pleasure to meet you both and I am so pleased you enjoyed the Hotel and some of the special places that Arrowtown has to offer our guests. Thanks to Tim for a great 4 night stay. Love the contemporary modern room, great location & views from the very comfortable bed. Tim's hospitality gives guests the unique NZ small lodge experience, from breakfast delivered to the secret cupboard to welcome drinks before dinner at one of Arrowtown's several excellent restaurants. We would definitely return to The Arrow.

We just spent 4 nights at The Arrow and loved it. The view from the large windows in our room was beautiful, showcasing an abundance of trees and mountains. The room was large and well designed and the bathroom was also generous in size. The short walk into the main street of Arrowtown was like out of a fairy book,...

Thanks for your wonderful feedback. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay. The walk from the Hotel into Arrowtown is great and especially so at this time of year as the trees spring back to life. We get a lot of positive feedback about guests who have walked into town in both summer and winter. We hope to see...

We had a lovely night at The Arrow. Gorgeous setting, beautiful room, very luxurious. We felt very spoilt. Tim was the ultimate host, and we enjoyed a drink before going off for dinner in their lovely reception area with an open fire. It is a quick walk into Arrowtown for restaurants and shopping, yet feels like you are out in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Arrow Private Hotel is an Arrowtown Boutique Hotel just five minutes walk from the centre of Arrowtown. With very contemporary design and styling, the Hotel recently won a prestigious architecture award and guests frequently comment on the attention to detail in the suites. In contrast, a historic stone cottage is the central meeting place at the Hotel. It is used as the reception area and as a house bar for evening refreshments and canapes. The roaring fire is very welcoming on a cold winters evening and many a tale has been told before guests walk into Arrowtown for their evening dinner. The Private Hotel is recognised one of the best Arrowtown B&B's. It operates more like a luxury lodge with each of the suites having its own private access and a hot cooked breakfast is delivered to each suite daily via a secret cupboard. With only 5 suites we are able to provide a very personal and private service . Adventures of all levels are not far away from the Hotel. Walking and cycling trails run right past the base of the Hotel which backs onto Coronet Peak Station. The Arrow Private Hotel is 20 minutes drive from the Coronet Peak ski field, from the Gibbston Wine region and from Queenstown. There are also 3 great golf courses within 5 minutes drive. ... more   less
