A wonderful location in a lovely quite calm setting. Excellent walking from the door. There are maps of local walks - on which we did not see another person. Easy to get to Horton Plains - although I would save your money and just do the local walks. Great dinner - plenty of food and friendly and knowledgeable owner. Very...

Put away your phones, there's no mobile reception or internet wifi here. Bring your book and walking shoes to enjoy the magnificent trails around. We came here to recharge after a grueling night at Adam's Peak, but we ended up doing more walking anyway. Eomal showed us a hand drawn trail to a nearby peak. The trek took us past...

I stayed here with my husband a few days ago. We arrived quite late in the evening after a very long drive, we were welcomed into Hill Safari straight away and given a lovely hot pot of tea which was very much needed! The dinner we had at Hill Safari was a delicious Sri Lankan rice and curry. Our room...

We have just spent 2 nights here in one of the superior rooms, which had a full length glass window and door looking out onto a beautiful view - you can see the Udawalawe reservoir way in the distance. The tuktuk drive from Ohiya railway station is an adventure in itself, as the road is very uneven - the driver...

We are two girls. We arrived late(at around 10pm),the road to the lodge is rough and dark. We had called the lodge several times to ask for the location but no one answer. The internet and mobile connection is poor. When we arrived, I asked the owner if he had a room for my driver, he said yes and it...

Hi, At the outset I would like to mention that I am the owner and was in Colombo on this particular day. So I was shocked to see your headline "the owner is RUDE" when I was never there. It was really my staff who were there. On inquiry they say that the tuk-tuk driver with whom you came did...

We stayed here 2 Nights in January, 2017. Rooms are newly built, clean. This Place is bit remote (No Mobile signals, No wifi, far away from town) They do have a TV in living area, and lots of indoor games (Carrom,Cards,Chess, Fusball) Food is basic, you can try their specialize dishes (Roti, Strings). Staff is very friendly and helpful.

On our trip to the hill country and our visit to Horton Plains, we had 2 nights at Safari Hill Lodge. It's a simple and basic lodge, but with a really nice team and the most amazing views from the rooms. One of the most beautiful morning views you can imagine. The rooms are basic, but clean and functional. They...

We stayed here 2 nights in November with my wife and daughter. I must say it was not love at the first sight. We arrived after a very long drive, the last part of to road was very bad. Also we arrived in thick mist, where we didn't have any view. So we were thinking, is this is it? But...
