We went to visit our son and his family and he chose here for lunch (easy when Dads paying) All very pleasant, we ate in the garden as it was warm and sunny, and my little Grandaughter could play. Nice range of real ales and well cooked and presented food, helpful and polite young lads serving.

We really loved sitting and eating outside in the quaint garden and the main course was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. Unfortunately I ordered the chocolate mousse which was so dense and thick that I found it to be inedible. It's also a shame that the toilets are so old, dated and unclean with a old and...

My wife and i visited this pub for lunch having found it in a good pub guide. A bit of the beaten track bit well worth the effort of getting there. A traditional and genuine country pub serving great beers and fabulous food. Full of atmosphere and character and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

This traditional country pub is located in a pretty village and is well worth visiting. We had a delicious meal with good service and there was a great atmosphere with friendly locals in the bar. Would highly recommend.

We went for a Sunday lunch after the recommendation of a friend. It was fairly busy but nothing that you wouldn't expect for a Sunday lunch. The service was friendly enough but very unorganised and slow. We were told by a waiter he would just get a notepad and take our order. That's the last we saw of him. After...

Always great food a warm welcome. Well managed with great friendly staff. Always busy so must be highly thought of in the local area. Good selection of Beer and Cider always available. Always spotlessly clean and tidy

Very welcoming especially Lizzie and the owner Kav. Well kept beer and nicely presented food. Stayed in room number 3 watch out for the low ceilings!!! Will return next year. Take care driving as the pub is down some narrow lanes which at night can be a little difficult.

Made a family visit here and enjoyed the Sunday roast lunches on offer however the gravy was slightly thinner than we like and perhaps the portions could have been larger as the sweet options were limited. Negatives over, the pub is very attractive and in a pretty village. The landlord and staff were helpful and very friendly. The bar has...

Lunch last week with mother-in-law and wife, quiet service but roaring fire, fantastic food and great beer - Perfect! Try the home made pork pie on the bar, and don't miss the beer chutney and the smokey tomato chutney, without doubt the best pork pie and chutney I have ever tasted

The food here is excellent. The menus changes daily depending on what's available. The carrot soup was excellent and the pork belly with mustard mash perfection itself. If you enjoy cider, check the board for those available. There was six on the list yesterday
