the hosts were great and lovely to deal with and very easy to work with. We did find the housekeeping was a bit erratic - sometimes our beds would be made and sometimes not even if there were no items on them as per the instructions. Also sometimes we didn't get fresh towels. The decor is a bit dated (e.g...

We recently stayed at the Clansman. There were four of us sharing a large room plus bedroom and bathroom. The accommodation was adequate for the four of us. Very comfortable beds and clean. Lee was very helpful and pleasant.

Great little motel where the host couldn't do enough for us. With a great pool and nice rooms and really easy to find Loved it Great position for visiting areas around especially Te Matta peak. Brilliant and would certainly visit again if in the area

It's not the most modern accommodation we've stayed at, but The Clansman really lived up to it's signage, "Family friendly service, we go the extra mile." I needed black shoe polish and couldn't find any for sale nearby, so on the chance there were small kits for sale from the office I enquired of the Clansman's proprietor. Without hesitation he...

Good amount of space, but needs updating. The room wasn't quiet due to noise from surrounding units. Worst of all, there were no cooking facilities or kitchen/sink unit- which resulted in washing up dishes in the bathroom basin!

This wasn't a standard unit on the complex, it was cut off the side of the owners accommodation, it was on the south side of the property, so very little sun hence room was musty every time we returned. No sink in the kitchenette. Tap over bath dripped incessantly and had worn thru enamel, lights in lounge flickered, sometimes both...

Tidy but dated motel unit. Seems to be stuck in a bit of an eighties time warp. Some investment in sound proofing would also go a long way to improving my nights sleep. Never the less welcome was very friendly and is probably good value for money.

Stayed 4 nights on NZFS course in Hastings. Each morning we had a great breakfast, accommodation in very comfortable double rooms, well kept motel throughout. Fantastic customer service and super friendly staff, Leigh went out of his way to look after us and made us all feel at home. Thank you again :)

Lovely place to stay. Bed was comfy and unit had everything we needed. The room was spotless, so clean and tidy. The host was so friendly and helpful, nothing was a problem. Would definitely stay here again. On a main road but nice and quiet. Close to town.
