Perhaps not the easiest to find, but it's tucked away with lovely views over Nelson from the garden. We ate our dinner out there. Quirky place with interesting pieces of furniture in the bedrooms and public areas. Had the downstairs twin room, with easy access to a comfy lounge with tea and coffee, and a TV. Our bathroom was private...

A relaxing, comfortable retreat in a period setting with charming gardens overlooking Nelson city. The proprietors are friendly and thoughtful who made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. A short pleasant walk into the city. Nelson is a craft beer hot spot.

I recently had the liberty of spending a night at Woodsy House, Nelson, NZ. I have stayed in several B&B's and this one by far tops them all. The house itself is captivating, the feeling is totally welcoming and warm. My room named "Topaz" was decent-sized and comfy, with a very plush bed and the bathroom was lovely. Breakfast was...

We recently stayed for 2 nights in Woodsy House. Selene and Shane the owners were very welcoming from the moment we arrived until we left. On arrival Shane made us coffee and gave us homemade cake whilst he showed us the attractions in the area. Our room was furnished with lovely antiques and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is...

The house is a grand old lady built in 1820'ish and situated up a leafy tree lined laneway. The room we were given was quite spacious and although the bathroom was separate, it was manageable. Great views over Nelson city. The disappointing part was that things were a little 'tired'. For example the towels really need to be replaced as...

We never like to host anyone who is not really happy at Woodsy, We give a warm welcome to all who come here: home baked cake and a pot of tea or coffee, Shane spent half an hour chatting and showing them places to visit as we do with all guests and we greatly enjoy interacting with guests at the...

A Woodsy House is a wonderfully delightful place to stay whilst in Nelson. I am so glad to have found such a beautiful house and location in which to spend my four nights stay. It is a comfortable, peaceful and a lovely restorative environment and the house is decorated with such treasures. Selene and Shane are wonderful, I had a...

Our recent stay at Woodsey House was a delightful experience. The charming ambience of your gracious Victorian home, gave us a taste of a bygone era, which i very much appreciated. Shane and Selene thankyou for making us so comfortable. We loved our delicious fresh breakfasts. It was a wonderful stay and we will be back.

An historic home very much In need of a lot of maintenance and a good cleaning. Gardens unkept and driveway approach to the house overgrown and unappealing. The property is advertised as a B&B, however you have to pay$14 per head for breakfast in addition to the accomodation charge. In the communal sitting room there was self serve instant coffe...

Very much out of character with other reviews. Our Wooded drive is as pictured , we can not control leaves falling or trees growing. The garden is in full Spring flowering and the lawns mowed regularly. All our sites clearly state that Breakfast is not included which is reflected in our room rate price , our sitting room is laid...

The house is gorgeous with lots of character and the rooms have great proportions that create a very comfortable space to stay. Shane was a delightful host; knowledgeable, helpful and a little quirky. The private bathroom is separate to the bedroom and contains a very large shower as well as a very large claw foot bath. If you're trying to...

We stayed two nights in the lilac room. The room is big and you have a private bathroom that is located down the hall. You have free wi-fi and the connection is not too bad. Be advised that you have to pay the room cash. We went to Abel Tasman for 2 days and the owner kept our luggages for...
