Recently on my first trip to the South Island of NZ, I visited for the first time Nelson. What a beautiful region to visit. Flying in from Auckland Domestic to Nelson, its a lil big town if you get my drift. Everything on the South Island is different from the North Island which is evident from the sky. The Nelson...

Very average apartment with tired looking furniture, couch, coffee table, dining table and chairs all need replacing. Bed comfortable, pillows need to be tossed. Kitchen lacking some necessities, such as containers. Unable to open bedroom window and noisy at times from carpark where the entry is. Fumes came into our room from the carpark. Manager not in attendance from 9-5pm...

The apartment we had at this hotel is anything but "luxury". First shock was the layout of the two bedroom apartment, with both bedrooms having tiny windows facing into the underground carpark! Main bathroom has its window right into the living room next to the kitchen and the dining area. Quite surprising that building code allows this, I have never...

The new owner Phil, has turned it around and it is a brilliant place to visit with friends for a drink and snackette. Happy Hour makes getting there between 4.00pm and 6.00pm well worth the effort. The staff are very "user" friendly😉

We booked a sea view room and found that the view was well maybe half a view. The hotel was comfortable enough, clean enough but perhaps not worth the extra we paid. There was nothing wrong with it but it turned out to be a little out the way and maybe we should have chosen a different location or simply...

My wife and I enjoyed a huge roast here last Sunday. It is a special on Sundays. It had lots of tasty lamb but even more lovely roasted vegetable of all sorts of colour and flavours. It also came with a free desert (Bread and Butter pudding with ice cream) but there was little room for it. Service was efficient...

On our way to the airport we stopped at The Sands for brunch. Staff were welcoming and friendly. A family group of 8 us had food and drinks. Coffees were the best we had during our holiday. Food was delicious and the service we got from Jamie second to none. Most of us had bacon and eggs [$10] plus extras....

Arrived for breakfast on a Sunday as many places were closed. it looks good from the outside so we took a punt. My wife ordered eggs benedict and I just had poached eggs on toast with bacon. The food arrived quickly, was well presented and cooked to perfection. The staff were pleasant and polite. The portions sizes was impressive, lots...
