I chose this Motel as it was close to town and had good reviews. I stayed in a very spacious studio unit. Location very close to town and yet very quiet. Host were very friendly and accommodating. Facilities clean and comfortable and very sunny. The room was dated though and for the price I felt was very overpriced. If your...

We stayed at the cottage for 3 nights in January 2015 and were more than happy with the accommodation. The fixtures & fittings in the cottage were a little dated, however, it was all thoroughly clean and everything was provided that you could need. The location was superb, with an easy walk into Nelson where there is plenty of choice...

Our upstairs unit was clean, fresh and airy. A high stud adds to the feeling of space. Good beds - a queen and a single and all other facilities adequate for this type of unit/price. Free unlimited Wifi was brilliant and a welcome change from the overpriced, low capped offerings from most hotels and motels. Great location for access to...

The owners were amazing. Chris booked us into the cottage on our second night at no extra cost when a cancellation made it available and was a really great guy. It was central and convenient for town and the supermarkets and he was a fountain of knowledge regarding local tourist spots. It is on the market and could do with...

We stayed for two nights and were more than happy with the accommodation. We arrived quite late but were given a warm welcome. It was an easy walk to the supermarket to pick up some supplies and with a toaster, microwave and hob we had all the facilities we needed to make supper. The Internet was free and very good....

Stayed only one night. Booked through i-Site who told us it was only accommodation left in town - discovered later in the trip that i-Site statements are not always entirely accurate :-) Anyway, room was smallest we found on our holiday but it did the job. Quiet location with easy walk into town. A little pricey for what it was.

We spent two nights at the Riverlodge Motel, it was comfortable, and quite well presented. Easy to find with a good location just over the bridge from the town centre. The price at $120 per night per room was very good value for money considering it's location to the town centre. We would gladly stay there again.

My friend and I stayed in a Studio Unit for 2 nights recently, and we could not have had better accommodation. The unit was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a lovely balcony which we made great use of. The hosts were particularly friendly, and had gone that little bit extra in the unit, with plenty of soap, shampoo, tea, coffee...

My son and I stayed here for two nights during our trip around the southern island. Nice friendly hosts, who take all the time to give information or to help you out. Quit, spacious studio, with kitchen facilities, bathroom with bath, private parking places. Across the river central nelson with stores, information centre and supermarket. A beautiful base to start...
