The owner is super nice, and the hostel itself is clean and has good homey vibes. There are bikes that can be rented for 3 hours for free, which makes up for the fact that the hostel is about 30 minutes walking distance to Nelson city center. There is a laundry machine for 3 NZ$, the beds are comfy, unlimited...

The Bug Backpackers is indeed a lovely place to stay. It is clean, neat and tidy. There's enough car parking space and the owner and staff are really friendly and helpful. We stayed at the double shared bathroom and it is quiet at night. Highly recommended.

The hostel was clean, close to town with great facilities. The staff were very helpful, will help you book all sorts of adventures in the abel tasman and will even drop you off into town for free. The hostel had a great atmosphere. In the day time, people would BBQ together over a glass of wine in the garden. With...

The owner Stefanie picked me up at the bus station for free! Thus I had a welcoming arrival with a nice chat. The hostel atmosphere is lovely with all the work put into the smallest of details (eg. pictures of the bug everywhere) and everyone is super friendly and helpful! The kitchens are fully packed with everything you need, the...

A friendly cat that will cuddle with you until it want to sit below the fruit trees. Kitchen with generous amounts of free bread slices and some instant coffee. Board game and...

The bedroom and bathroom are really clean, which is really important to me. The bed was comfortable and cosy. The double bedroom was quite spacious. The free breakfast on the morning was a simple, but delicious range of fresh breads with spreads. It is a 5 minute drive to town and 1 hour drive to Abel Tasman. There is a...
