We were recently at the Honest Lawyer Hotel on a cycling holiday & had a lunch of chowder as we waited for friends to join us on the trail. The chowder was divine, full of flavour and full of seafood pieces. The next day saw us unexpectedly back at the hotel as the abysmal weather had flooded the cycle path...

We tried the platter of meats and seafood. This provided a hearty meal for two and we particularly enjoyed the crumbed squid and pork (both warm). These were teamed with a sour dough bread and two dips. The tapenade lacked some real oomph and would have benefited from the addition of some woody herbs and garlic. The staff were friendly...

We enjoyed a night at this hotel . The bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. The breakfast, included in the price was very nourishing with orders taken from the extensive menu . The evening meal was very well priced but we had made other arrangements for that meal.

Some people like "Rustic" but i am afraid i am not one of them. The room was poorly lit making it impossible to read. Our room was adjacent to a convention centre and the noise was rather obtrusive. The staff were busy with a wedding ceremony, but that was no excuse to leave reception unattended in spite of me ringing...

Loved this Pub, loved the atmosphere and the service was great. We didn't stay, just ate, there wasn't much to choose from on the menu, but what we ordered was delicious...would recommend a meal here. We were there for lunch, but apparently the menu is the same, so would be a nice place either on a summers night, sitting outside,...

We stayed at this pub recently in our caravan. There is a large area at the back of the pub called The Orchard where self-contained motorhomes and caravans are able to park up. There is no charge for this but patronising the bar or restaurant is appreciated. This is a great park-over property and we highly recommend it if you...

Part of a group of 11 who ate here after a long cycle so cold drinks were a priority. Lovely outside area and food and drinks offered were excellent. Everyone was well satisfied. Off the main road a bit so nice and quiet.

This place has your typical pub meals. Simple honest food with no frills. On a warm clear night, the outside dinner area is fantastic with small planes taking off from the nearby airport. Been here a number of times before and will keep on coming back.

We actually took advantage of the excellent FREE 3 day parking for our caravan. Right on the waterfront a very quiet. We did have a meal or two in the hotel restaurant. Good food if a little expensive for a limited menu.
