I think I was the only one there. There was no atmosphere. After I checked in there was no one on front counter the rest of the stay. I had to call someone on their mobile to get an iron and ironing board - the iron was full of mould so I couldn't use it. No GST receipt available. No...

Overlooking the harbour, lovely and hospitable owners, just a shame it's near the old hospital that's being demolished so a bit of an eyesore driving up and the motel itself could do with an outside facelift Immaculate, good facilities and affordable if you can make it through the front doors

We booked through Air NZ airpoints and arrived from Wellington pretty tired. Turned the hairpin bend to be confronted by what appeared to be a bombed out building from a bad day in Baghdad. The old long abandoned hospital covered about 8 acres and every window was broken and the building was a total wreck and looked like something out...

Great location and has the potential to be nice but definitely needs a revamp. The bathroom was nice and modern, but the room itself was bare and we found it quite eery. Would still here again though as only $100 for a night and staff were very friendly.

We were desperate to find accommodation this week in Oamaru and this was the last chance saloon, so we approached with trepidation expecting the worst, but this is a fantastic place. The room was ultra clean, had a decent tv, fridge, free wifi and tea making facilities. There is no cooking facilities, but you can bring your own food, and...

We stayed here just the one night. Nice location set high on the hill with lovely views of the gardens and village. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very small yet bathroom was huge. Bedside lamps would've been good as room was a little dark. Unfortunately the bed was unbelievably uncomfortable. Other than that, it was cheap at $105...

Comfortable stop in a converted maternity ward of the local hospital, set on the hill at the back of the town overlooking the harbour and out to sea. Friendly staff and renovated interiors made this a good choice.

Interesting place at the top of hill in part of an old derilect hospital. Clean and wifi good. Reasonable value and staff very pleasant and helpful. Would have been a good place for an overnight stay but for the bed. The bed was the worst one I have ever slept on. Only managed a few hours sleep and even wondered...
