We booked here after Fyffe country lodge couldn't reopen due to earthquake damage. We are so glad we went ahead and made the trip to Kaikoura. We had an upstairs room facing the ocean... great view and ocean waves crashing right across the street. Our room was spacious, clean, comfy bed and updated bathroom... loved the strong water pressure and...

Unfortunately when we arrived in kaikoura they were still trying to pick themselves up from the earthquake that had hit them. Unlike many people who had cancelled because of it we decided to still go and everyone was very grateful to those who did. It took a long drive as they had been cut off and roads were being made...

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. It is right next to Encounter Kaikoura which was perfect for our early morning wake up to swim with dolphins. There is also a cafe next door which was great for coffee. The room was nice and had a great view of the water. It was a 5-10 min walk...

This was our first Motel experience and we loved it. You can literally drive with your car in front of your room. The room has a fully equipped kitchen, a very comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Everything is very proper. We had a wonderful stay.

We arrived late afternoon and the matter-of-fact receptionist booked us in. We had a first floor room overlooking the car park and then the view went on to the sea through the lovely Scots pines. The motel is about a 10 minutes walk from the town centre with its assorted shops and bars/restaurants so was convenient in that respect. Our...

We're a couple touring the South Island of NZ and this was the last stop before we head on to Christchurch for our flight back. But we just found out from other tourists on a tour today the roads along the east cost to Kaikoura are closed following the earthquake in November. By the time we called to cancel it...
