Attractive decor and luxuriously comfortable, effort has been made with attention to detail ( simple example: good sheets). A charming building in an excellent location, it was a pleasure to stay here.

We are kindred spirits on the quality sheets front. I know it's a big point for me when I travel - in fact, it was the very first thing we upgraded after taking over the hotel. Thanks for putting pen to paper about it.

We had such a beautiful stay in Kaikoura, only made better by the hotel's friendly staff, dreamy sleep and a lovely breakfast. Although we only stayed for one night, the hotel would be perfect for long term stays and had everything we needed.

Sunrise from the hotel is hard to beat, you certainly got that right! Look forward to your visit next year - never a shortage of amusing political banter here!

Quick note in response to your review - we've upgraded toiletries further, throughout the hotel, to a beautiful NZ made range - made from all the right stuff, and none of the wrong. Guests are loving them.

Can't imagine staying anywhere else in Kaikoura! On arrival, Jen and Warren (the owners) welcomed us like family who hadn't been to visit in a while! We immediately felt "at home" and fell in love with these 2 people and their beautiful hotel! They gave...More
