Stayed at the Ashley hotel again this weekend and it was great as always. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We didn't have dinner but if the big cooked breakfast was anything to go by then it would score highly there as well. Extremely well priced. Highly recommended.

Beautiful motel, very clean and modern. Room was big and heating and electric blankets were fantastic. Reception staff were incredible - very kind and helpful (same with the staff at the adjoining restaurant)

Upon arrival, our room was dirty with an unmade bed from previous occupant. We were then moved into a smaller room. Thin walls meant we could hear traffic constantly and could hear the neighbouring rooms' toilet and shower. The bathroom was always damp with no ventilation, making it feel much colder. The shower was heat restricted and was unpleasant.

My husband and I stayed here two nights. The room was clean, warm and quiet. We never had time to check out the resturant, but the menu looked lovely. Not in the centre of town, but on a fine day you could walk it, approx 2km. I would recommend.

My stay in this hotel for two nights was really excellent. For a business traveller it had all I wanted and more. The staff were absolutely delightful--friendly, helpful and genuine. There's a lovely bar and restaurant on site, which is such a boon for travellers. I'm sick of checking into motels, getting out of business clothes and showering and then...

We have just stayed in one of the Family units. 1st impressions are the worn out dining chair coverings! 2nd impression the sticky ring marks from the last peoples drinks on both arms of couch and coffee table!! Never mind I cleaned up myself, it didn't take long. I'm sorry, I've got to mention these things as I think its...

Very close to the centre of Greymouth - the coast, if not too rough, is a walk away. It has laundry facilities (just make sure you get there earlier on because it takes about 2 hours to wash and dry a load) and a pool and Jacuzzi (which are okay but the pool is very cold and it is in...

We stopped over at this hotel on our way down the west coast. It was very convenient - off the main highway. The room was standard and equipped with tea and coffee. The room was a nice size and clean. The staff was very helpful and guided us both to potential places to eat, buy food and visit in the...

Luckily we're pretty laid back people and only needed somewhere to sleep as we were driving up the coast. But I wouldn't recommend the place, some issues we encountered included: - poor water pressure in the shower - cold pool and spa - broken kettle - broken lamp - thin walls - loud toilet flush (we could hear next doors...

A sizeable but well equipped hotel well located off the main main road, this hotel is a fair distance away from the "main street," of Greymouth, and so doesn't lend itself to walking anywhere, or have any choice of restaurants within easy reach. Although we only spent 1 night there, as a break in our journey further south, we were...
