We booked this as we were driving from Whangarei and it was perfect
We had the top room overlooking the paddocks and it was quiet and peacefull

Hi Caroline, there are taxis that can get you to Lupton Lodge from the bus station but as we are located in the countryside we generally recommend that people have their own car. If you want to be able to explore the local area or go out for dinner then you would need your own vehicle.
If you are going diving there is a shuttle that can take you to the dive operators and bring you back to Lupton Lodge at the end of the day.
There are several rental car companies in Whangarei if you would like to rent a car once you get tot eh city.
