We had the family room and stayed on a Saturday night and I realised when I opened the door to the room I'd stayed in the exact room about 15 years ago, it still had the same duvet covers and it didn't look great then. There was one double bed in the room which had epic roll together, and 3...

The hotel was a great place for an inexpensive but delicious meal. For all ages. Our table ranged from 3 years to 83 and 3 in between. Really nice friendly and inexpensive and very generous portions. Well done.

Went here for dinner on our first night in Palmerston North. Service was very friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere was nice (reminded me of country pub friendliness). Meals were excellent - can recommend the beef burger. So good in fact that we went back here the next night so can also recommend the fish and chips. Portion sizes were big (farmer...

We decided to stop in Palmerston North on the way to Wellington. I would say it is a 2 star hotel. The check in was in the bar down the hall, and check out was just by putting the key back in a box. there was nobody in the reception of the hotel during all our staying there.... The room...

Very tired hotel, or expensive backpackers, on top of the pub. It wasn't as loud as I was expecting, but in need of a good disinfectant. Blood on the vallance, mouldy old ?water coming out of the shower rose, funky smell, warm fridge. Woke in the night to my mattress half off the bed. Would stay again if desperate.

My rugby team and myself stayed here on our end of season tour. The rooms were great for our needs. We were given access to a private onsite bar with bar staff. Fantastic experience. Would recommend to all teams. Facilities and location.

Came in for dinner, menu full of a lot of great options. Went with the Porterhouse steak, came out of the kitchen promptly (under 15 mins), cooked perfectly medium-rare as I requested, salad was great, all in all a generous meal.

We were very late arriving having phoned ahead to say so, greeted well by bar person who actually helped with a snack after kitchen closed. Room was fine, a bit dated but ok for the price. We had read up and knew this could be a noisy Hotel but it was empty at our arrival. Bed and pillows really soft...

If you enjoy wheeling your suit case through a busy bar then this is the place for you! No dinner mint left on my pillow but there was what looked like sweet n sour sauce from the previous guest. Don't bring your own soap... there's plenty in the shower.. already used. House keeping is very welcoming even in the morning...

Friendly staff, amazing pub food..really impressed. Rooms how ever were very tired and dated . Basic maintenance not done. Our bathroom ceiling was completely covered in mould. Just needed a spray and wipe. I must say the beds although old were super comfy. Some bulbs missing in lights. Good place to crash if you have had a few bevvies!
