Detailed Reviews
We stayed for a week at Central Avenue Apartments and loved every minute of it. The location of the apartment is so good particularly for those who wish to check out the eateries around town. With slightly grown up kids, we were able to send the kids out to grab milk and bits and pieces we needed for the odd night of cooking in.
Coles and IGA are a stone's through away, plus we were surrounded by the best cafes.
The apartment itself is very well equipped with well kept cookware, utensils and all appliances were brand new. There were some wear and tear but that is to be expected being a holiday apartment. Maintenance of the property is otherwise very good. Everything was in working order. The TV's in every room was a luxury. We ended up with the kids in bed most nights indulging in a movie.
The master ensuite is a little tight. I was tempted to use the kids' bathrooms some days. The balcony (although a little noisy with vehicles from the road) was still lovely and sunny. It was nice to sit there and enjoy the sun and people walking by.
We wouldn't hesitate to return to Central Avenue Apartments. One of our more enjoyable stays. Excellent coffee downstairs every day and beautiful dinners in town most nights.

We stayed for a week and it is hard to see how this place could be improved. The location is perfect, right in the centre of town and a short stroll to the bakery etc. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The apartment is extremely comfortable with all the mod cons and very well equipped with anything you might need (they even had cling film!) The rainfall-style showers had excellent pressure (and plenty of hot water) and there were sufficient towels (a rarity I find, as usually getting enough towels in holiday accommodation is like getting blood from a stone). My husband and I also had the best sleep we have had in years, the beds were incredibly comfortable. It's actually hard adjusting back to our own bed now! Our kids loved the experience too and we all felt like it was a real oasis to come back to after a hot day out. Plenty of space for the kids to spread out and relax or play with their toys too. Overall, a wonderful experience for couples or families. We would love to come back one day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay here.
The accommodation was extremely comfortable and the apartment was spotlessly clean.
The living area was nice and spacious with a fantastic kitchen to cook in. All of the kitchen utensils and crockery etc were of a high standard. There's small laundry area which included a washing machine.
Bed was comfortable and with lovely linen.
Great large balcony to enjoy whilst having a glass of one of Margaret Rivers finest drops. The lock up garage for car parking was so convenient.
Close to all amenities with a couple of supermarkets across the road and a very short walk to the main street.
Will definitely book to stay here again when we're next in Margaret River.

My daughter and I recently visited Margaret River, we chose to stay at Central Avenue Apartments and were certainly very happy with our choice. Beautiful well equipped apartments in a great location, so handy for the Main Street and easy for trips out. From booking process to key collection to check out was easy and staff were very accommodating, thank you all, if I’m in Margaret River again I would not hesitate in rebooking!

+1
We rented a 2 bed apartment with terrific large open plan lounge and kitchen which opened onto a large balcony at the front. A locking garage space was available underneath and information on how to access this and the property were straightforward.
Brilliant location just 2 mins walk from the main street and there’s a supermarket, bakery and other small shops up and down there too.
Good location for many of the wonderful beaches such as Redgate and Hamelin Bays. But most of all the wineries are in abundance here up and around the Caves Road. Take your pick as there’s around 50 I guess to choose from. And the scenery on these roads off the main freeways is stunning too.

Having been to Margaret River a few times, this time we wanted to stay somewhere that we didn't have to drive out just to eat or get groceries. So this seemed to be ideal; 1 street away from the main street of Bussel Highway, and within sight of a Coles supermarket. Margaret River is a quiet town, so even with a bus stop right outside our apartment, there were buses waiting there only for about 15 mins each morning and we didn't really hear any engine sounds that bothered us.
We went by to have a look-see as we were walking around the town, and fortuitously met the owner, who allowed us to check-in earlier as there wasn't anyone occupying the apartment the night before. Great bonus as we had driven down from Perth and wanted to unpack & rest. We had the end unit so didn't have to share the entrance with other guests.
The living & dining areas were really huge, with acres of space for 4 people. Each one of us could have our own space on the sofas or balcony, and gathered at the dining table (which could seat 8) for meals & games. Secured parking in a garage just under the unit was also great, so that we didn't have to depend on street-side parking.
Had a great time there and was able to walk to all the places to eat, see & shop in Margaret River! Most convenient place to stay, and also got a discount by booking directly with the apartments instead of through a 3rd party booking site.

Nice accommodation spoiled by greed
Liked · The apartments are large with nice balconies but sparsely furnished i.e. no cushions on the sofas, no comfortable chairs except the sofas. The kitchen is well equipped except for the essentials i.e. oil, vinegar, etc.
Disliked · We booked 3 months ahead of our arrival and they took the entire rental cost immediately. That is a bit rich especially when we are talking of over $3,000.00 for two apartments. Most of the other accommodation will take a deposit and only closer to the date they will take the full amount. That policy leaves a bad taste before the actual trip. Personally, I see it as greed and unprofessional.
Of course, to top it off not having hot water on the morning of our departure with temperatures at 16 degrees was not a pleasant experience! I would also recommend changing the pillows that are much too soft and uncomfortable to get a good night's rest. At almost $400.00 a night I leave you being the judge if it is worthwhile to book The Central Apartments.

Response from Jodie Kilkenny, General Manager at Central Avenue Apartments
Responded 31 Oct 2022
Thanks for taking the time to review our property. Great to hear you liked the size of our apartments, and to see that you scored us 10/10 for location. To clarify concerns that have been mentioned... We take a 50% deposit with the balance payable on arrival, if you book direct with our property. If you choose to book through online travel agents, our policies vary, and in the case of the online agent you chose to book through, full payment is required at the time of booking as mentioned. We always recommend guests book direct with our property for the best rates and the most flexible terms & conditions. We supply 2 pillow varieties, 1 soft and 1 medium pillow per guest. I understand pillow thickness is a very personal preference, so I do apologize that neither of these options was the right type for you. I also apologize for the power cut on the morning of your departure. The whole town centre of Margaret River was effected by a system power outage so I am guessing there would have been a few cool showers on this morning. The good news is, we use instantaneous gas hot water systems, so in the case of an unforeseeable system outage, as soon as the power returns, hot water is instantaneous. Thanks again for staying at our property.

Six years since our last visit and I still can’t help but love this place. Well equipped kitchen with extras you don’t seem to get elsewhere and the location is central to everything in the town. I see another reviewer criticised the bedding, well I couldn’t be happier with it as the mattress and pillow were perfect. Even loved the fact that it has smart television now, and you feel very safe and secure when staying here. If we didn’t live in southeast QLD we would be regulars.

Four of us recently stayed a weekend in Apartment 6 and had a great time. The self check in was easy and the apartment was quiet, clean and comfortable. The large terrace is a good place to relax with a few cold refreshments. Crockery and cutlery wise the apartment had everything we needed but condiments etc are not provided. The location is convenient and within easy walking distance to the local shops and restaurants. There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area and we look forward to returning to explore more.
