Stayed here for our first anniversary fdr three nights and it was perfect! The room we were originally put in was very small but it was still very comfortable and well decorated. There was an outside light just outside the window that shone in the bedroom and was very bright. We asked the next day if it could be switched...

Staff can't do enough for you. The place is unlike any other hotel - an old mansion that has been enhanced. Breakfast is superb. Lunch and dinner are your own problem, but if required, plates, cutlery, BBQ tools and condiments are all prepared and supplied in a picnic basket. Devon shire tea can be had ($), and free cake later...

This is our 5th visit to Basildene and we again enjoyed the gardens, breakfast and lounge. Welcome afternoon tea and all day great coffee and tea was again appreciated. However all this was eclipsed by our very small bedroom.(Rose) The doorway was crowded, especially when bringing cases in and out. The bedroom was so small there was no room for...

We found Basildene via Trip Advisor and fell in love on arrival. The staff had left us a lovely chocolate bar to help celebrate our 25th anniversary. We took a bottle of wine into the garden and enjoyed the gorgeous grounds. We were so charmed by the hotel that we spent most of the second day on the property, and...

A truely unique accommodation alternative, the beautifully and respectfully restored hotel lived upto its reviews. It can be treated as a home away from home. After returning from a day tour we made ourselves comfortable on the lounge in front of the fireplace. Staff are very accommodating in providing access to all areas including the conservitorium where you are welcome...

Basildene Manor was easily the best hotel that we stayed in during our 3.5 weeks of touring Western Australia. Situated in stunningly expansive and well maintained grounds this hotel has got it right. The building itself has a fascinating history and the very good sized rooms are quite luxurious. We stayed in a Manor Room, which was very clean and...

We recently spent 2 nights at this beautiful property. The building and rooms are well appointed; the rooms extremely comfortable and spacious and the attention to detail is wonderful. The grounds are well kept and the gardens a joy. BBQ facilities are available and your meal can be enjoyed in the adjacent covered arbour area or in the comfortable conservatory....

My husband and I spent a week in a beautifully appointed room at Basildene Manor. It was the perfect spot to explore the Margaret River region, close enough to the township to walk, but far away enough to ensure a peaceful atmosphere. Our accommodation was roomy and delightfully comfortable. We loved the attention to detail which made our stay an absolute...

We booked our stay at the Grand Mercure Basildene Manor and were so impressed when we saw this magnificent accommodation. Our room was luxurious and spacious with beautiful views of the gardens and peaceful surrounds from our private balcony. The property was once the home of William and Margaret Wilmott- rich in history, which the staff are keen to share....
