Book and stay here!.
One word Outstanding!
James is an amazing host and chef. His passion for food and wine is clear. Breakfasts are simply delicious. Local produce on offer. Nice touches throughout our stay eg from being offered a chilled glass of good quality white wine on arrival through to Lindt chocolates being left on our pillows. There is a really calm ambience and it’s hard not to relax and just listen to the sound of the birds. We loved watching the family of kangaroos hang out in the garden in the mornings and late afternoon - they come right up to the dining / kitchen area and wait patiently outside for a titbit from James. Rooms are spotlessly clean and have a selection of good quality toiletries made from natural ingredients. Decor is tasteful and the rooms are spacious.
All in all a fantastic place to spend a few days in Margaret River!

Located between the town of Margaret River and the coast, set in beautiful bushland with nothing else around it, Llewellin's is the perfect place to relax. Your hosts, James and Joanna are delightful and extremely helpful. They make you a scrumptious breakfast to order every morning, which includes freshly baked muffins among other treats. Your very comfortable room is serviced every day. There are only three rooms and each has a little table and chairs outside facing the bush where you can relax, drink wine and watch the kangaroos and galahs who visit the area directly behind the house. I will definitely stay again on my next visit! This guesthouse is a unique little piece of paradise.

We had a lovely stay at Llewellin's Guest House. The room was incredibly tidy, and the attention to detail of the amenities (tea/coffee/toiletries) made the stay feel extra special. The view of the garden was wonderful.
Breakfast was amazing, and James and Jo are great hosts. The continental selection was beautifully curated, with homemade jams and preserves, and James is a maestro with his hot breakfast selection.

+1
We stayed for two nights at this lovely guest house set in woodland between Margaret Rover town and Prevelly beach. It has been the highlight of our visit to Western Australia so far, & we would have loved to extend our stay. Three really comfortable en-suite bedrooms set off a shady verandah with every home comfort imaginable and the best breakfasts around. The home made fruit compote, poached pears and negroni jam all exceptionally delicious. Jo and James are warm and welcoming hosts with a wealth of knowledge for the local area with lots of good recommendations for wineries, restaurants & beaches. For me though it was all about the kangaroos who came to the garden every morning and early evening for some feed, along with the abundant bird life. Very much wild animals but happy to come close for a piece of bread and laze or play in the garden, fascinating to watch them at play, it made my holiday. Thank you for a wonderful, albeit too brief stay - hope to bring our daughters along next time. Michelle & Jerry

Joanna’s and James’s bush hideaway provided a restful and delightful week’s break among the trees and birds and kangaroos. We feasted on delicious breakfasts, all lovingly prepared using fresh ingredients and James’s expert skills as a chef - best breakfasts ever. It was a great location between Margaret River town and Prevelly and, added to all the pluses, the fact that it had just 3 rooms meant we met other lovely couples from overseas at breakfast and on the verandah. Thank you Jo and James - we’ll see you again

Our second visit to this amazing place. It’s all been said before but breakfasts are fantastic, rooms beautifully decorated and serviced to a very high standard with top quality toiletries. James’ wine tour is highly recommended. He will take you to small boutique vineyards as well as some of the bigger ones if you wish. Very personalised experience and he is so knowledgable about the wines, the owners and their backgrounds.
Must mention the kangaroos outside of course, quite incredible to watch them interact and also wide variety of bird life.
Jo and James are brilliant hosts and we can’t recommend highly enough. Thanks again. Just a tip - book directly with the guest house and you will get a very nice bottle of wine in your room!!

James and Jo are the quintessential welcoming English in keepers. We thoroughly enjoyed their company, They clearly genuinely enjoy interacting with guests. The bed-and-breakfast is 9kms out of Margaret River and a very short drive to the gorgeous beach town of Prevelly.
The room was comfortable and had a number of helpful small touches such as a USB connection point, a nightlife in the bathroom as well as a room key that doubles as a bottle opener and the availability of chilled champagne glasses.
Sitting on the Verandah watching the family of kangaroos that come right up to you and the abundant birdlife was fantastic. There is a communal fridge/freezer and a excellent Weber barbecue.
James is a very talented cook and the breakfast each morning was delightful particularly as it was round a communal table with the other two couples who were staying. On other occasions James was on hand with a plate of oysters or a glass of coffee Liquor.
We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed 5 wonderful days at this excellent Guest House. James and Jo were delightful hosts and there is so much to enjoy when staying there. Beautiful setting with visits from kangaroos, many species of birds and casual walking tracks. The wonderful hospitality so willingly offered and beautifully appointed rooms are just the beginning of spending relaxing and peaceful time in their home. Breakfasts are amazing and so too are Jo and James. Just a perfect get-away.

James and Joanna’s guesthouse was absolutely perfect for our weekend trip to Margaret River. The setting is beautiful, with the kangaroos coming right up to the terrace just outside your bedroom.
The breakfast was delicious, with homemade compotes/jams, organic bread and a whole host of other local produce which made our stay even better; we really felt like we got a real experience of Margaret River.
James took us on a wine tour a well which is the perfect way of seeing some great local vineyards without having to drive yourself! Their guesthouse is positioned in the middle of some great wineries making it really easy to get around.
All round a wonderful stay, we would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for the weekend or on holiday and looking for a lovely spot to relax and see the region.

We had a wonderful and relaxing time at Llewellin's Guest House. The hosts James and Jo where so friendly, they felt like family by the end of our stay. The room was immaculate, bright and airy and had everything that we needed in it. The location is just beautiful and we woke each morning to parrots and other birds eating out of the bird feeders scattered around the gardens that James keeps topped up. There were even kangaroos that came with in feet of us onto the lovely lawned area. And the breakfast...WOW what do I say....Just Amazing. Will definitely be going back when ever we get the chance.

Thank you for your enquiry.
No sorry we do not have 5 bedrooms.
We preferred to sit outside or in our room in the evening as the weather was fine. We were invited into the lounge area though. We had a hire car and a designated driver so not sure about taxis. It is a beautiful location in the bush.
Thank you for your enquiry, please see Google Maps for directions to Margaret River from Perth and then there are directions on our website from MR to Llewellin's.
Yes Greg is correct Craig, if you advise us at the time of making a reservation we will be happy to accommodate any dietary requirements.
