Detailed Reviews
We spent two peaceful nights at this fantastic place - wish it could have been more! Kangaroos spotted 20 metres from the chalet in the first half hour and black cockatoos overhead. Perfect location for exploring Margaret River's vineyards and beaches, and the chalet is immaculate, with lots of greatly appreciated 'extras' - from chocolate biscuits to fruit, bathrobes and fresh flowers. Thank you!

I was invited to join friends at this getaway, and whilst only walking distance from Margaret River township, it felt a million miles away. What a wonderful escape it is, with lovely walking trails on the doorstep presenting stunning photo opportunities and even a gin distillery at the end of one trail! The chalet is decorated in a Balinesque style which seems to offer an extra level of tranquility. It is very well equipped and is perfect for two couples with comfortable king beds in each spacious room and two bathrooms plus a stunning outdoor shower. The generous deck overlooks a lush tropical garden with a beautiful bush land backdrop and the generous day beds are the perfect spot for morning coffee, reading or indulging in an afternoon nap. A return to River’esque is high on my list!

We stayed at River'esque with another couple of friends (total 4 of us). The whole experience was just fabulous! It felt like we went abroad for holidays.
The large terrace is extremely secluded, and with large daybeds overlooking birds of paradise is a perfect spot for a couples chill out, reading a book or just enjoying lovely Margaret River wine.
It has a large indoor spa and the hot outdoor shower (we went in winter and it was very zen taking these showers in the morning).
Beds were comfortable and the whole place was very clean. We appreciated little touches like a fridge and larder stocked with breakfast basics

We have travelled extensively in both Australia and overseas and this true Aussie gem is one not to miss.
Riveresque is a tranquil piece of paradise where you cannot help but relax! Imagine walking up in the most beautiful bush landscape, hearing nothing but the native birds sing their morning song. We just loved having our breakfast on the balcony and watching kangaroos hop by and then revisit us again at dusk as we sampled some of the local wines - which are outstanding by the way.
Our hosts went out of their way to ensure everything was ready and perfect for our arrival and we really appreciated all their recommendations of local places to visit.
The Villa is centrally located to the Main Street and only a short drive to the regions spectacular beaches and wineries.
It was obvious why this place is ranked #1 place to stay in Margaret River. We will be back!!

Kyle thank you for your wonderful review and so glad you were able to enjoy the wildlife on the property. One of the kangaroos you spotted was a female and she had a little joey shortly after you left, so if you return there’s a new addition to our Riveresque family! So glad you enjoyed our little piece of paradise, and hope you come back to visit us the next time you visit Western Australia. Safe travels, Glen

Riveresque offers very comfortable accommodation just a few minutes drive outside the centre of Margaret River. You can walk through a woodland trail to the shops and restaurants in about 30 minutes.
The house is well appointed, good bedrooms and bathrooms, and the host provides breakfast food for when you arrive. The setting is great, within a quite section of forest so you can enjoy watching the wild life and relax.
We would definitely stay again if we return to Margaret River.

This little heaven was just as perfect 16 years after our wedding stay there: The dappled sunlight on the spa, the outdoor shower courtyard, the biggest bird of paradise flowers imaginable. This time we had 3 kids with us, and the balcony fitted us all in sprawled relaxation, coconut spritzers in hand. Treetop views from the 4-poster, real coffee, nice bread and the capacity for a 20m long rope swing all hit the sweet spot. It’s homely enough to be comfortable but glamorous enough to be feel a bit resorty, literally a few minutes out of town. Good on you guys – anyone would feel fabulesque here.

Stayed here at the end of the Easter weekend and loved it.
The home is quite big and plenty of room to get comfortable and not feel confined especially given the weather was not perfect for us.
We cooked in bath nights with a bbq and just bought some things in town where you’ll get all you need.
The host will get you a few essentials including various milks, bread, butter, yoghurt, fruit and a few pantry items including kettles, toaster and a Nespresso machine plus pods.
Plenty of wineries nearby but there is a well stocked liquor store too with many local wines to try st good prices.
Overall the accommodation is close to town but Aldi far enough away but most importantly it is very clean and a pleasure to stay at.
Enjoy.

Loved our stay to bits. Couldn’t recommend it enough and it’s amazing for couples or even with young ones. Sharon provided us with a portacot soon as she knew we had a toddler and next days breakfast was on the house.
It’s prettier in person than photos:)

My sister and I had a delightful 3 night stay at River’esque. The chalet is lovely, very comfortable and it feels very secluded and quiet, even though it is not far out of town. We ate breakfast on the beautiful balcony every morning - so serene, with the early morning mist and all the wonderful birds in the forest, and even a couple of kangaroos. The throw blankets provided on the outdoor day beds are deceptively cosy! We wanted somewhere with two good separate bedrooms and Riveresque did not disappoint. Both beds were large and comfy and having two bathrooms was an extra bonus. The showers are just fabulous - hot and great water pressure! We also really appreciated the selection of nice quality and divine smelling bath and body products provided. The chalet was easy to heat, with both a reverse cycle AC and a gas heater, so we were cosy. Little touches like the breakfast provisions (delicious), dishwasher, and Netflix really made our stay relaxing. There are also some nice walks that start close to chalet. Great communication with the hosts. We look forward to visiting again!

Cold day, the heater was on when we arrived. The Bali music was already playing.
As close as you could get to Bali without actually being there.
Plenty of basic foods already supplied, condiments, tissues, tea/coffee etc (good pods), all toiletries, bath salts, kitchen roll etc.
Plenty of crockery and saucepans etc, good electric cooktop.
Great communication with Sharon - she was always offering to pick stuff, or drop things off.
The place was very clean. Water pressure excellent - better than Perth.
Quite secluded, and very peaceful. Spa was great.
Close to town, restaurants, and highly recommended.
Hopefully we get to return.

Hi.
I'm so sorry but we don't have wifi at the chalet, we do have coverage for mobile phones and there are many Cafes a few minutes away that have free wifi. The chalet is set amongst many trees and we had trouble with reception. The chalet is very private and peaceful, we hope we can look after you at some time. Warm wishes, Di
