It was pretty quiet when I arrived at the guest house. Originally I requested for a room in the second floor as it was suggested by other travellers to avoid the noise in the lobby. However, the wifi doesn't reach the room so I asked if I can move to a room where I can get wifi. Luckily, they were... More

What a lovely people working here! The place itself is nice: nice room, nice shower, good food, pool table, and snorkeling equipment to use. But the best thing about this place is the people. I was looking for a computer that I needed to use a whole day for work, and they let me use their reception computer (for the... More

Despite sitting next to a prison on the island, the hotel turned out to be mostly quiet except for the early morning noise from a nearby mosque. The room was clean, relatively new, but inadequately furnished (no bedstands, for example). The breakfast was good with a combination of local and western food. The guesthouse staff offers excursions that are priced... More

We stayed at Summer Villa Guesthouse as a group of 12 adults. In short, Summer Villa is a great place to stay at. The rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped. The staff worked round the clock to ensure that all aspects of our stay were well catered for. They have 17 rooms in the guesthouse to accommodate large groups... More

The place is not what you expect to find in the Maldives. It is very basic, flies are everywhere and it is almost impossible to eat in the garden. Everything is a bit sticky, the floor, the tables, the dishes... Staff is friendly but in a insincere way. If you travel to the Maldives maybe you'd better spend a little... More

We stayed in Summer Villa (SV) as a couple for four nights after staying for two nights in Picnic Inn. We actually booked SV first and decided to come two days earlier to Maafushi than first planned, SV were full so we stayed at Picnic Inn instead, and we were very impressed with everything at the Picnic Inn, and because... If you are not rich and don`t want to spend thousands of dollars for luxury resorts, then go to Maafushi, where maldivians live, and enjoy their easy way of living. In Summer villa we were met as good friends. Room was clean, dinner was super, main dish from fresh, tasty ocean fish. We were offered large list of excursions and... More

Good location if you do not mind the prison next door. There is lots of construction going on so give it 5 years and then check it out. Excursions more expensive than neighbouring hotels. Breakfast was not very appealing I think they could try harder. There was a sewage leak during our stay which didn't help things.

Rooms without window! Incredibly stuppid interior design - one big corridor with pool table in the middle and rooms around. You hear every single noise. Guesthouse is just few metres from jail, and on the opposite side from beach.
