Stayed for 3 nights and the experience couldn't have been better for a hostel. We stayed in a private room with en-suite on the 3rd floor. Clean and security doors to enter the floor door. Reasonable size air conditioned room for a hostel, clean, good size bathroom, safe, tea & coffee towels etc. Reception staff very helpful and sell prepared...

I stayed 2 months in Habitat, the staff is really nice and helpful, the location is great, the hostel itself is superclean. You can drink and buy alcohol in the main room & plenty of activities are offered during the week (free bbq, pubcrawl, trivia...) I stayed in a 10girls dorm with aircon just in front of a 10showers bathroom...

When I checked in they gave me a price for the whole stay (more than a month) and I asked if I could pay every week. They told me that was fine. They did something wrong so for the 3th. week they told me I had to pay more. When I told them they quoted me a price before they...

I had a great experience at Habitat. The staff was great! They were always eager to help, whether you were booking a tour, needing a cab, or just getting directions. There was different activities lined up each night. Great location, walking distance from the beach. Facilities were very clean. The 10 person dorm was a little cramped, but was fine...

This is by far THE BEST hostel i have EVER been to! Very good location in St Kilda. Just by a tram stop and a supermarket 200 m away and a short walk to all the bars, luna park and the beach. My girlfriend and I booked a double room for 2 nights and we wish we would have stayed...

When we arrived we were put in a 5 bed room all boys, whom had been staying there for a while which is never usually a problem however the room smelt horrific!! We aren't ones to complain but we had to move rooms as it was so bad!! Perhaps there should be a no shoes in room rule or something?...

Very good. One of the best. Only negatives bottom bunks a bit low, ensuites/bins not cleaned daily and shared bathroom facilities better than ensuites. I stayed in 2 rooms. Both very clean and the extension leads and baskets next to bed very useful. Spacious kitchen and communal areas.

Habitat hq was well priced and reviewed as very good and we weren't disappointed! Staff on desk was always friendly! We stayed in two different rooms both were clean, spacious, comfy enough and had good sliding lockable drawers under the bed! Rooms were all locked with key cards which was great and the bathrooms were big, clean and modern! St...

I stayed here for 4 nights with my girlfriend in a 6 bed mixed dorm. Thankfully no snorers and the people we shared with were really nice. The beds weren't that comfy, thin pillows and air con didn't work (thankfully it was cold outside the other 3 nights). En suite was good, although they don't clean it unless someone new...
