I love staying at Tolarno. The art work and colours throughout are fabulous and the whole place is full of character. The rooms are very well equipped and quiet. A great location and walkable to pretty much anything in St Kilda.

Tolarno is steeped in history that greets you as soon as you enter the foyer and see Mirka Mora's beautifully artworks, her beguiling angels and cherubic children, her wonderful fantasy animals and works of whimsy that adorn this place seemingly in almost every nook and cranny. Sadly at present the restaurant / bar/cafes don't seem to be operating although the...

I booked a room in this Hotel because of good reviews here on TA and because of its close location to Albert Park, home of the Austrailan F1 Grand Prix. I stayed for 4 nights and at a charge of $10 per night had secure accommodation for my car too. Those 4 nights here were just fantastic. On arrival, reception...

Stayed for ten days in Feb and march for a wedding. Ideal for st kinda to get into city tram right outside hotel. A rough junkie hotel one block away the Gatwick hotel but it's ok you just cross the road so they are not pestering you for smokes or money. Hotel rooms are ok blue and Art Deco is...

Rather happy i chose to stay at Tolarno Hotel. The room is nice, clean and the hotel has an interesting artie feel. It is well priced for its location and its lack of services ie pool gym etc. Regardless I am very happy with my choice. Thanks Trivago

Great hotel, very comfortable and amazing rooms for the price. Good shower and brilliantly comfy bed!! 24hr manned reception and a feeling of great security. The rooms are located away from the front of the hotel so there is no street noise at all (but also potentially no view). The location is literally a 5 min walk to the beach...

The main advantage is location. It's reasonably clean. Night reception was very ordinary, not really welcoming, although their day team were lovely.... I booked a standard room for just a night. At check in, they informed me for a free upgraded to a larger room. When I arrived in my room, it was a very small room, that a lot...

Stayed at the Tolarno Hotel, St Kilda and to be honest this hotel is seriously punching above its weight. To start with the rooms were quite expensive been similar to the Sheraton in Melbourne and this raised my expectations. The room was small and the bathroom minuscule, you definitely couldn't swing the proverbial... Cleanliness was ok and that's all! Bedding...

We loved our visit to Tolarno. We had a great room at the front of the hotel with a very green outlook and a balcony which we love in hotels. The hotel decor is funky and loaded with art. The room was very well appointed clean and fresh. We found the staff polite and helpful and more than willing to...

The tradition continues at Tolarno Hotel. In a salute to the charismatic Mirka, the hotel’s walls and halls are hung with striking artworks by emerging and accomplished artists, 150+ works in total including a number of Mirka’s – guest’s often comment that it’s like staying in an art gallery. Today our 4 star hotel awards 3 major student art prizes via the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Monash University and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and the yearly winners are exhibited in the hotel foyer for 12 months.
