What a great place to stay when on business! Rooms are clean and simple, but the beds are amazingly comfy! The best part of the Mid City is it's owners and there amazing service and personalities. I arrived late at night around 8:30pm, they found a restaurant open for us and made a booking. I could not recommend this Hotel...

I would not recommend this place to anyone. The receptionist we spoke to in person was incredibly rude and demeaning. I have never felt so unwelcome from a staff member before. I think she should reconsider her field of work, the only thing I'm unfortunate about is not getting her name to put in a complaint. Please go somewhere else...

We booked Mid City at short notice. Very thankful to the young receptionist who brought in the cot & plates for dinner in awful weather still with a smile on her face. Comfortable, very central. Delicious breakfast. Worth a stay.

Mid City is a well preserved modernist gem. The foyer is a beautiful 1970's wood, brass and marble space with a spectacular new "green" wall and elegant staircase. Our room (#34) was quiet, spacious and with great quality linen and toiletries. The room had fabulous original features including a pressed copper splash back above the mini bar and wooden bedside...

The mid city hotel was very poor. It was clean which is important. The rooms badly need a makeover. The fridge had no freezer so no ice. Their was no toaster. The TV was extremely small. It cost $129 for Sunday night which was way too much. I wouldn't recommend it.

I recently spent the night at Mid City Hotel. Kylie and her family were both very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, tidy and fresh. Even though the rooms are older, I actually liked the 'retro' feel and look of the rooms, everything is kept very well. The bed was very comfortable, and I had a quality sleep. The...

My experience at Mid City Hotel! I had booked for 2 days & finally stayed a week! I found Kylie & her family, very friendly & kind. Motel is a little dated, but very clean! Modest prices, but then I was not looking for luxury, just a comfortable stay! Fabulous housekeepers, any little thing done for you, room stocked every...

The rudest receptionist I have ever come across, would not recommend this place to anyone. Kylie should reconsider her career choice as she is clearly unaware that she works in a service industry, being rude and abusive to people will only lead to bad reviews.

We stayed in room 1, the Executive King Suite. This was a huge 2 roomed space and was clean and tidy. The furniture looked alike it was placed awkwardly in the room, a lazy-susan had no purpose. The bed was as through we were sleeping 'down hill', we spun the pillows around and slept at the foot end. Also the...

A 1960/70's hotel located in the heart of Ballarat. Room size is fair and the bed relatively comfortable but the furnishings are from a generation ago and look their age. The shower was clean and in good shape but the temperature control was very fickle. The room had a fridge but no microwave. Efficient wall mounted A/C. Quiet room with...
