I was looking for a nice place for my partner's birthday and was running out of time to find and book so just went for it. I am big about staying at a place with proper bathroom, so I was a bit nervous about this place as it was a rush decision. We drove and started to get really nervous... More

It is a 20 minute drive out of daylesford on a dirt/gravel road but in a lovely secluded location. Certainly more 'rustic' than luxury but 'the forge' was just a little of $100 for the night so luxury was not expected... It was advertised as fully self contained but the kitchen was a sink and microwave, no oven or hot... More

Exactly what we needed. If you need to get away from the city life - this is the perfect place! It had everything we needed - bath robes, comfy bed, dvd's, games, a/c you name it. Loved waking up to silence and going for a walk in the morning being escorted by the most friendliest dog:))) I wish we could... More

I recently spent a couple of nights in the forge, and it was mega rekaxing. Forget phone reception or TV if the weather doesn't agree, but why would you need it. Peaceful surroundings, and your fair share of birds of prey if you pay attention. Friendly hosts with a few tips on good eating. :)

We spent one night here in the "Forge" which is the smallest of the three cottages available. Nicely furnished in a rustic style it has everything required for a pleasant stay. The Forge has a party wall which adjoins The Studio and this was occupied the night we stayed. We found there was an annoying vibration and humming sound which... More

Sadly we only had two nights in 'The Cottage' It is very well appointed, warm in the coldest weather since 1996, with everything we could need. Great beds, comfortable lounge, a kitchen pretty much as mine is at home ( a coffee pod machine for example) and hot water that allowed 2 baths and a shower. It is out in... More

Stayed here for a night on our way to Daylesford. I saw this place long time ago but could not decide when to go. Lovely hidden spot, far away from city noise and stress but in the same time close to Ballarat and Daylesford (just 20 min drive each). Place made with love, so nice and quiet you will enjoy... We recently stayed in the 3 bedroom cottage for 3 weeks while our home was being renovated. We are a family with three children aged 6,4 & 1. Molly gave us such a warm welcome, treated us like family and made sure all our needs were well catered for. The cottage is very clean, functional and has all the comforts... More

We stayed in the Studio for one night. Molly had the firing going for us so our room was warm and cozy upon arrival. The studio has everything you need. We stayed in and cooked a simple home cooked meal in the kitchenette and enjoyed the crackling fire for the evening. It was so comfy we didn't want to leave!... More

We stayed in the Forge accommodation for 1 night on our way from The Great Ocean Road trip onto St Kilda in Melbourne. If you want peace and tranquility this is the place, though a little of the main highway it has all the amenities you need. The owner Molly met us just as we pulled into the farm track... More
