Clean, tidy room, with great help and advice when we checked in. We really enjoyed staying here - it was a short walk to the city and sites around town and we were given good advice on local cuisine. Would recommend this hotel

The Audlington is a lovely old building which used to be a convent. It has been renovated well and the room we had was on the first floor, with a verandah outside with a view over Launceston. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. It was a short walk down the hill for a breakfast and a 10minute walk to the CBD. The staff were helpful. A lovely place to return to!

James was very helpful and kind. Our room was lovely and clean. Walls are quite thin so you can hear people up the stairs and also those coming and going in the corridor. It is a bit away from the main road so no road traffic and the hotel itself is breathtaking.

The building and rooms are beautiful, and the views equally so. Old style charm, but modern amenities. Location is great, set back from the road so that it's very quiet, and not too far from the city centre

This is an old (1899?) Converted convent. The room we had was large and very clean and stylish. Check in was easy and James at reception was very helpful and knowledgeable. Bed was big and comfortable and room was quite. You can sometimes hear someone close a door etc, but it is expected in a building of this style and age. We both enjoyed our stay.

We had planned a trip to Tasmania from the 1st March, unfortunately due to living in Coraki we were unable to travel due to the unprecedented floods. We lost power and were unable to contact all our accommodation especially hotels booked through QANTAS. Fortunately we were able to cancel everything and get full refunds or not asked to pay, accept for this one hotel. Even though I did ask Qantas to cancel all of our reservations before the stay date Auldington Hotel said they were only notified on the stay date and their policy was clear and refused to waive the fee and stated through Qantas they would not do this. When I spoke to them I was told to claim on my insurance which I did not have. Very disappointed, after we are over this we plan to visit Tasmania but will definately will not be booking the Auldington.

Great place to stay. Older style building, but rooms very clean and comfortable, staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Location was quite central, walking distance to some shops and dining. Cataract Gorge a short drive away.

Chose this spot due to reasonable walking distance to Cataract Gorge, which was the main sight we hoped to see in our brief Launceston stopover. We didn’t have a car but the hotel is also convenient to plenty of decent places to eat (although many closed over Chrissie/NY period). Fantastic welcoming service and they graciously accommodated our request for a balcony room, which had lovely views. Room was well appointed and sized for the price. Would certainly recommend and stay again.

First of all, the service was very helpful, as one of the team members stayed onsite later to welcome us after we arrived unexpectedly late, to show us to our rooms, and give us all the information we needed to know about Launceston. The beds were really comfy and soft, we had a nice big bathtub, and a beautiful view of the city and nearby garden. Although it is a small hotel, we were grateful for the lift to get all our luggage in, as well as a comfy lounge room on the top level, with a tv and an easily accessible veranda. Lastly, the hotel was well located in a spot close to cafes and restaurants, shops, and the beautiful gorge. I highly recommend this hotel!

What a gem. The beautiful old building overlooking Launceston that is the quaint and lovely boutique hotel is just delightful. The small yet excellent staff take real pride both their job and the hotel and it is apparently everywhere. Nothing is overlooked. The rooms are immaculate and tasteful. Beds are really comfortable and Im voting the pillows the best I've slept on. A fully, and I do mean fully, stocked, reasonably priced minibar. Fab bathroom also fully stocked. Free wifi, Netflix. The list goes on and on. Thank you for a great stay
