Apart from being a lovely little home in a beautiful garden and a warm greeting from our host, this accommodation is incredibly well fitted out ; plus there was enough breakfast and other food stuffs to keep us going for days. When I noticed the freshly cut culinary herbs in a little glass jar for freshness I knew I was in the right place for us.An awful lot of thought and consideration has gone into everything put in there. You are a walk out of down town so it is quiet. Note that Cataract Gorge is a five minute walk away. After you have explored there you can walk down the gorge into town ; makes for a good day out.
For the third consecutive year, we have retreated to Tassie with only one option in mind for our accommodation in Launceston - Topiary Haven. As always, Diana and Barry were the perfect hosts. Knowing how much I love the garden, Diana commented to me on arrival that "the garden isn't much at the moment". She was incorrect. Even with the early spring bulbs now wilting as they prepare for next year's flowering season, the garden was beautiful and I took time during our stay to wander through to see what is happening at the moment and to find inspiration for my own garden. I wasn't disappointed. The unit is as beautiful as always, the bed comfortable, and the view from the dining table across to the Tamar Valley more visible following some pruning work that had been done in…
Everything has been thought of at Topiary Haven. We arrived in winter to a warm welcome from Diane and a lovely warm house. From the Welcome Platter of local produce to the huge range of cooking appliances and utensils, spending time it the kitchen was a delight. The place was always cosy with reverse cycle air conditioning, a bathroom heater and an electric blanket. The accommodation is in a really convenient part of Launceston, and is a short drive from supermarkets, the CBD and the many sights to explore. It was amazing value for money and we'll definitely be going back next time we're visiting Tassie.
I hardly know how to review this piece of perfection. On arrival Diana shows us this beautiful apartment. The fridge was full of provisions, as was the pantry. We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay and hated leaving. Very reasonably priced. So many extras.
What a great little find, 2 mins drive from Cararact Gorge on the western side of Launceston with easy access to the Bass Highway to Cradle Mountain. Totally luxurious and very quiet self contained 1-bedroom stand alone flat at the rear of owners’ pretty topiary filled garden. Full size kitchen with quality appliances, laundry with washing machine and dryer, queen size bed in large bedroom, choice of pillows, comfortable lounge and dining areas, private courtyard. Full provisions to cook your own breakfast including good coffee, eggs, bacon, fresh herbs, bread, juice, yogurt, various cereal choices. Owners very helpful with advice and recommendations for dining and sightseeing. Onsite parking available for 1 car.
We stayed here for our week long honeymoon and it was just so lovely! Diana & Barry were very accomodating. We had absolutely everything we needed and lots of privacy. Location is great and we got to explore a lot while we were there with the help of our rental car. Can’t wait to go back again one day! Thank you Diana & Barry for having us at your lovely property! 10/10 😊👌
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at Topiary Haven. Diana is very welcoming and nothing is a trouble to her. The accommodation is wonderful with high quality everything. We would definitely stay here again if we were in Launceston.
Diana welcomed us upon arrival at Topiary Haven, she makes you feel so welcome, more of a friend than a guest. The accommodation is wonderful, there is nothing to fault, everything was provided for our three night stay, add to this the beautiful, peaceful location and I would say Topiary Haven is the perfect base for exploring Launceston. Close to Cataract Gorge we were able to explore during the day and return at sunset to enjoy the peace and quiet at the end of the day.
Tucked away behind the main residence, Topiary Haven is a delight. It is the best equipped accommodation that i have ever stayed in and I mean Diana has thought of EVERYTHING. There is a fantastically equipped kitchen and a whole range of goodies to get you started. The place is beautifully (and tastefully) decorated with lovely views of Launceston and the hills behind. Internet was up to speed and worked well. Topiary Haven is a good walk from the centre of town but right by Cataract Gorge with an extensive range of walking trails. Highly recommended
Diana and Barry have created the perfect retreat for people wanting to experience the best of Launceston and surrounds. The villa is beautifully presented and luxuriously appointed. The kitchen is well equipped and modern, which made cooking a breeze. The pantry and fridge are well stocked with breakfast supplies and basic staples. The bed was really comfortable and warm, the electric blanket had been preset for our arrival which was a nice touch. Just a 5 minute drive to the CBD and a short 15 minute stroll to the picturesque Cataract Gorge, it is in a fantastic location. The hosts also leave a great list of recommended eateries, bars and shops. They have thought of everything. I couldn't recommend Topiary Haven high enough. We will spread the word. Outstanding.
