First impression was the owner, sorry I don't remember her name. Very friendly she said from the start we could have an upgrade to King Deluxe Suite, as we had trouble with stairs. Being Mr. negative I thought yea right! Wow it was fantastic rosewood furniture, a king bed to die for, a fully tiled marble bath room. The hotel...

The staff member who greeted me was lovely however when it came to sorting out the wifi, she wasn't able to resolve the issue for me which affected my work for the evening, the bed was comfy and the view was nice. However, when I got to my room, there was an over powering smell of disinfectant which was horrible...

Lovely hotel, room clean with everything you would need , staff helpful, breakfast choice both cold and cooked was good, set up for the day. The view was lovely looking down to the town, but if leaving the car at hotel the walk back up the hill was a challenge, but parking down the hill was never a problem

we stayed for 2 nights, excellent staff nothing a problem.good views, nice clean rooms very comfy bed. only fault was noise of a morning, staff chatting loudly before 7,then banging scrapping after 8.30 as they cleaned up after breakfast.carpet instead of tiles in dining room would fix problem and make a good place perfect.

Staid here for 5 days. What a great setup. We were in the new building, clean modern, spacious. One of the best places I stayed while visiting TAS. Chef and the lady who worked to breakfast was super friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking, great view of the mountain and best of all free WiFi!

We needed to travel to Launceston on business recently for one night,11 Sept 2013. We booked a King bed. On arrival Yuki noticed my wife did not venture up the steps & I confirmed "knee problems". Yuki immediately changed our room for direct access from the car park. What prompt caring action. The room was beautifully presented. Gleaming bathroom, Real...

We have stayed here 3 times over the last 12 months. We enjoyed the location and found the rooms and bathroom to be very comfartable with modern furnishings and fittings. No problems with the room other than the one of the doors was a bit tricky to lock. However, it wasnt a big deal, just had to make sure it...

If you are the last the check in you don't get the room you book they just put you where they want. We booked a king and a trundle we didn't get the trundle just a king not good for 2 adult women. I would give the hotel a miss. Better hotels to stay in Launceston for the same price.

Stayed one night at Areca. Staff were friendly and hospitable, the room was nice enough but hardly boutique. Small and crowded with dated, scuffed furniture, stained carpet and an empty fridge (apart from long-life milk). Cheap tea bags and mismatched floral crockery. The bathroom by contrast was modern but towels were thin. For the price paid (we booked last minute...

“We were accommodated in room #15 both nights. We did not hear a sound. We opened a window briefly to listen & even then no intrusive traffic or industry noise. No other guest noises through our walls or doors even though we were only a few steps from the motel entrance & the morning breakfast dining room activity on both mornings.”
