I stayed in the Master's Den. The bed was big and comfortable but the bathroom was very dated and old fashioned. It was difficult to shave because the mirror wasn't over the basin. The bedroom lighting was very dim. The staff was friendly and efficient and the breakfast had a lot of choice. The restaurant attached to this hotel wins...

Spent three days at the Quality Hotel Colonial in Launceston. The rooms are old but comfortable and worth the rate paid. The nearby Three Steps Restaurant was good for dinner and may be part of the hotel.

Two stops during a tour, the first we were upgraded to a beautiful suite in the heritage wing with all facilities. The second time in a regular room was equally comfortable. The hotel seems enormous but runs well, excellent buffet breakfasts. We were disappointed on our final night when eating in the 3 Steps restaurant to have poor service -...

This hotel looks more like a hotel-village than a regular hotel. Charming from the outside but inside a maze of ill-lighted corridors and staircases. Spme find this charming but we found it outdated and the room furnished with a collection of not-matching old bric a brac furniture of all sorts. Tiny bathroom, accepable bed but smelly pillows. Good breakfast buffet...

Had a fantastic stay in a large traditional room. The staff were warm and welcoming. Dinner at 3 Steps was one of our best in Tasmania. We loved the central location with only a short walk to the centre of town. Convenient free parking and good value for money breakfast.

Our room was on the second floor - so had to carry luggage up two flights of stairs (no lift). The room was a bit scruffy and the sheets on the bed were not ironed. The room itself was in need of decoration all very dark and dowdy - very depressing. The bed was uncomfortable. Had to be careful where we...

My wife and I stayed here for one night. It was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful. Close walk to the city and the surrounding parks and gardens. Plenty of parking and the restaurant of Three Steps is well worth the effort to eat there. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Free parking. Pleasant staff. Stayed in what appears older part of motel on first floor ( be aware no lifts). Room had a spa bath. Very comfortable bed. Continental breakfast is $15.90 and cooked buffet is $19.90.... quick tip, in your room there is an offer entitled the "Northern Explorer" whereby if you "stay an extra night you...

Very pleasant staff. Rooms good. Close to town and attractions. Parking is like a rabbit warren. Saw some near misses. Enjoyed our stay. The owners dog was friendly. A visit to the automobile museum is suggested.
