Detailed Reviews
Self contained room, missing majority of cooking utensils one would expect. Bathroom incredibly outdated and window in shower having to be open, meant multiple 'Good Morning' to passing by guests. Room service continually knocking on door from 7:30am checking on when leaving (despite a 10am exit).
Kids reported an uncomfortable sleep in single beds, overall no intention of returning. A shame, as a really good location right on the park.

While there was nothing seriously wrong with the place, there were many things not right. You would expect a 4 person room to have things like 4 sets of glasses or cutlery, but nope. The car parks were also filled with old junk (lounge suite, fridge etc.) and are a very tight fit, if someone doesn't park perfectly don't expect to get your car in.
The rooms are very tired and dated. Our room had gaudy pink tiles in the bathroom with a shub rather than a proper shower. We used the laundry once, paid the $2 to use the washing machine which didn't complete its cycle and we returned to find clothes that hadn't been rinsed or spun.
The many notes around the rooms made the whole place feel unfriendly - I get that extra costs have to be charged in some cases but a simple welcome book like most motels have that outline the rules is far nicer.
Overall though the rooms were clean and the guests were quiet. If you're just looking for a place to stay this place is OK. It worked for us and I'd stay here again if it was just for a night or two.

Good location. Good price for Australia. We walked to everything. Nice outlook to city park. comfortable rooms with heater and electric blankets. Very friendly and helpful people. We were able to check in early and leave our car in the car park on last day. Good to have fridge and microwave. It’s an older building and we found the bathroom could have done with some maintenance. All six taps were hard to turn off and dripped a lot. No lift so be prepared to carry suitcases up or down at least some stairs.

Made a booking with this motel 3 weeks prior to our arrival and received a confirmation notice of the booking. We had friends travelling with us who had made a similar booking, however on the day we were to arrive our friend's received notification by phone that their booking was cancelled due to a plumbing issue.
This prompted us into making a call to confirm our booking again, where we were told that it had been cancelled due to double bookings. Being involved in the tourist industry I had a feeling that two different stories here did not sound right if you tell porkies get your stories straight and have a good memory.
Further checking found that if I booked again on the next day the price had risen by $50.
On the day in question Launceston had no other bookings available this meant we had to travel 45 minutes out of town to find accommodation.
Looks pretty fishy to me, therefore this place cannot be trusted to hold your booking I can only say beware.

Lovely bed linen and towels. Great location quiet. However we couldn’t contact reception after 6pm by sms/phone so no tv available.Too many negative notes with extra charge if not adhered too. Had to
wash all kitchen items with only a tea towel no j cloth / detergent in bathroom basin with only toilet seat to place these. Bathroom from dark ages with over bath shower. No shower rail or slip mat. One power point for microwave toaster and kettle. Milk in fridge was off. Place needs a deep clean especially toilet bowl as back disgusting. Concrete walkway to unit uneven and rough

+1
Where do you start? Room was neglected and dirty with mould/mildew in shower, there was pubic hair around the toilet and the bathroom floor was covered in layers of build in scum . The floor around the toilet brush was just horrendous and kitchen utensils and cutlery sticky from not being cleaned properly over time. The oven comes with fat and mould, tiles in kitchen covered in grease and I am not even willing guess what the brown smears on the kettle are. I decided to clean a few items so I could make a hot drink but even the dishwashing liquid bottle was covered in filth and the supplied scour pre stained. I have never felt compelled to right a review on on a property before but the standards in this hotel is a first for me. On a good note the sheets where clean but unfortunately placed on a old uncomfortable beds that are long past there useful life spans.

This has been by far our worst accommodation experience in Launceston. The staff are helpful, and it is the cheapest room in the city, but it is in desperate need of an upgrade. Such as shame as it’s in a lovely location. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment during summer and the room was hot and stuffy with hard beds, old furniture, no aircon, stains on bedding, noisy neighbours, steep car park and a very dated bathroom. Only use as a desperate choice!

Family apartment was spacious, clean & tidy. With radiator and small air con the main living area was warm. Great views and straight across the road from the city park which is a must do. The motel is a short walk from shops, cafes & restaurants.
This is a budget motel but is comfy and warm.
The big drawback for us was we didn't have a car so to get our Apartment was a hard walk up a long very steep path - not good at all.

We booked here for a night with friends and were after a two bedroom unit with sleeping for four. Well, we got the sleeping for four, but you couldn't call it two bedroom. Partially our fault when booking, maybe we didn't read it properly. Anyway it was one double bed (not queen) and two singles in what was a semi open 'L' shaped room. Luckily we are very good friend with the others and we didn't mind so much the close proximity. Room was reasonably clean and beds reasonably comfortable, no air conditioning and reasonable bathroom. I would suggest that it needs a facelift in the not to distant future, if they want to remain competitive.

Stayed at this motel for a few days and as much as it was clean it was tired and old. It was in need of a refurbishment. We had 2 seperate Rooms and both contained a queen and single bed. No lounge chair just a table and chairs. There was a TV and a heater. The shower was over the bath so not suitable for older people to climb in. It was cheap so you get what you pay for I guess. Staff where friendly.
