Tired of motel accommodation on a work trip (I usually opt for b&b but all were fully this trip), I decided to subsidize the meager government accommodation allowance (its $121 per night outside of metro) and opted for Clarendon Chalets for two rejuvenating nights. Very happy with the location. Only 10 km from the Mount. I took delicious food from...

Stayed in the Meadows. Everything I needed was there, and plenty of good communication with the owners made the moment work well. The room was large, and the bed comfy. The breakfast provisions were more than I needed so had to leave a fair bit. A perfect spot to rest en route to another destination.

Great location, my partner booked online - we arrived to find a note left on reception door and as we were opening it Eve (owner appeared to direct us to our accommodation) where Frank was finishing off the chalet. Both Frank and Eve made us very welcome and even appeared with 2 avocados- delicious! We were lucky enough to stay...

It was a most enjoyable time at the Avocado Chalet which was well appointed. The owners were very kind and friendly and gave us some of their own produce. Our extra company were their Chooks, Guinea Fowls, Kangaroo, Kookaburras and other bird wildlife. The chalets are situated only a 15 minute drive from the town. We would certainly return there and...

We had booked the Studio room as we were only passing through for one night, when we arrived in Mount Gambier the power had gone out in the whole of South Australia!! The management explained the situation and gave us a couple of candles. We drove into town and brought some supplies, when we came back we realised that everything...

We spent two nights in the Meadow Chalet mid June 2016. We found the owner helpful & friendly. Came & lit the potbelly stove & had a chat. Being my husband's birthday, we celebrated dinner at the Barn, 300metres down the lane. Wonderful food, the steaks are to die for!! This is our second stay at Clarendon chalets, & will...

We have visited Mount Gambier twice in the past 3 years with one trip being a poor experience and other being fantastic. The town hadn't changed so the contrasting experiences came down to the accommodation. The Clarendon Chalet is located on a couple of hectares that allows for a lovely walk that includes beautiful trees, plants and wildlife. The setting...

Lovely farm setting to relax on our trip through the great ocean road. The cottage was very comfortable and well catered. The hosts were easy to deal with and nice to chat to. We really enjoyed our overnight stay.

Wife and I spent three nights in the Garden Chalet early April 2016. The owner was very friendly and helpful both when dealing with him over the phone when making the booking, and in leaving friendly notes to make us feel welcome as we arrived late in the day when he was not immediately available. The chalet had everything we...

The owner offered to find us a different place to stay when he discovered he had double booked our room. After Clarendon Chalets discovered this they suggested keeping the booking.com rate charged to us and they would book and pay for alternative accommodation on our behalf. However, the alternative motel was significantly less expensive than what we paid Clarendon Chalets!...

Dear UK Traveller, On reading your review it seemed very one sided and that was not the case. The booking resulted as a computer glitch at a weekend that the area was totally booked and taxed for accommodation. We advised you immediately on receiving your booking that we were not able to assist you in the accommodation. You advised us...
