We stayed for a Friday & Saturday night in the Queen Suite with a fireplace. Lovely quiet room at the back with our own private veranda space where we had breakfast both mornings. We ordered the continental (excellent muesli) and it was wheeled to us on a trolley which we could take inside the room if we wished, but we...

The exterior and grounds are really beautiful and the rooms are exquisite. Loved the special touch of fresh flowers on the table. The location was perfect, with either fine dining restaurants or casual pubs nearby. The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Stayed two nights, beautiful old building with lots of interesting antiques and rooms decorated to old world style. Verandah's full of lovely sitting areas. Fire places are in each room, costs apply though to light them. Breakfast can be ordered, expensive for what you get either to have in your room or on a verandah.

Hi Judith Thanks for taking the time to write such a lovely review on your recent visit to Toowoomba. Yes we charge $25 for guests to light a fire in their room. We believe it is appropriate and fair to charge those that use the fires rather than inflating the cost for all those that don't. By the way, it...

We were warmly greeted by Graham and his wife as we arrived at this grand old hotel. We were personally taken to our room and shown all the features before being given the hand tour of the hotel. This truly was a step back in time, a beautiful 4 poster bed on a carpet rug over the polished timber floors....

Vacy Hall is absolutely stunning and such a wonderful place to relax and enjoy Toowoomba. From the gardens to the very comfortable rooms, you are able to just relax. We were there for a wedding and a better place we could not ask for in the lead up to the wedding. Little added extras included a decent coffee machine and...

Always a great place to stay with the beautiful historic building to explore and relaxing verandahs to kick back on. Graham always give good advise on where to eat and this time it was the Turkish Restaurant Sofra and it did not disappoint.

I was given the room I requested , I think it would be very cosy in winter . a more private fence from the neighbours as you are relaxing on the balcony would be good.very warm and...

A piece of beautiful history. My daughter and I stayed overnight in Vacy Hall and enjoyed every minute. We kept oohing and aahing over everything we came across, both inside and out, and wished we could have extended our stay. We occupied the front room, left of the grand front door. It was spacious with high ceilings and large sash...

This is NOT your standard accommodation that will blend in your memory with so many other places you've stayed. Great location a short stroll from the city centre. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Vacy Hall is like a time capsule that offers guests the opportunity to step back in time to a space where things were slower and less complicated, people had more time for each other and the world was more gracious. Built as a wedding present for the daughter of a wealthy squatter and pastoralist in the 19th century, Vacy Hall now provides travellers with a romantic experience reminiscent of the glory days of the 'squattocracy' with the convenience of a CBD boutique hotel. ... more   less
