I made my second weekend visit to Nan Tien for a meditation retreat. The accommodation at Pilgrim Lodge is very simple but the rooms have all the basics- comfortable single beds, clean shower & tea / coffee supplies. Very quiet, you wouldn't know that the motorway is close by. You can share rooms on meditation retreats but I chose a... More

I did a two day weekend meditation retreat at Nan Tien temple and it was lovely. Very calming and the monks were beautiful. The accommodation was simple but comfortable. No TV in the room, which we expected. Shower was warm and bed was comfortable. I think I actually saw other people staying at the lodge, not just those who were... More

Beautiful buildings with lovely grounds. A very special spiritual place to visit. They have a strict dress code so ladies cover your arms/shoulders and no shorts. If you do you will be excluded from some of the beautiful rooms which are very ornate and done in gold.

-Close to most temple facilites -nice 4 star style rooms -good price for hotel Went there for the 'Cultivation Retreat' which is their second longest and second most intense retreat. Good facilities for a four star room, could have slightly better ventilation though to make it cooler in Summer.

Small, tidy and practical with a subtly peaceful and loving atmosphere. At a glance, the rooms are plain and provide only necessities; a bed, decent-sized ensuite shower room with foaming soap, storage space, a fan, various tea-and-coffee-making implements (but not a kettle; hot water is collected from a Tea Room on each level), and a book of Venerable Master Hsing... Pilgrim Lodge is situated in the beautiful grounds of Nan Tien Temple. The hotel offers clean and comfortable accommodation. Staff are welcoming and happy to help provide information. The Lodge is not a typical hotel, if you are looking for a five star hotel experience go elsewhere. If you want to stay in peaceful surroundings at a very reasonable cost... More

The building is awesome, the room in the pilgrim lodge was hotel style. I attended morning chanting in the main temple, and we ate as a family in the dining room, both were cultural experiences.A walking path leads around the top of the grounds to a large bell and the pagoda.

The hotel is situated in the lovely hills of Wollongong. With beautiful views and a stunning temple, which is lovely. However even though there was a small handfull of wonderful peoole working and living there, we were treated like unwelcomed outsiders who were treated like we were infringing on their home/environment. We departed early and lost money by leaving, I... More
